Bill Watts' UWF was a fantastic promotion. There was a Saturday morning, I'd say in, 86?? When it popped up on syndication in St. Louis. I was immediately hooked. I wish Jim Crockett, Jr. wouldn't have mismanaged it so badly when he bought it out. Jim Crockett had the best wrestling in the world, but he was a poor businessman. Now we have Vince, who can run a business, but the wrestling is crap.
I think it was more than that. As its been said many times.
lol Pepsi would suffer without coca cola....
Should have known that without competition the qaulity fall....
Then you have guys like Kidman and Buff Bagwell, who should have had a future, but you say the wrong thing and piss off the wrong person and your career is over with no where to go.
Even with DDP. Say what you will, but fans loved him......and WWE really dropped the ball with him.
I had to find some Sting, he was my guy. Loved the tights and face paint. I loved him, I didn't cry for him twice like I did with Hogan, but I loved Sting in a different way back then (I was 12). This is so good to see, I forgot he used to yell Wheeew. Good stuff. I did a tribute show (mp3), check it out.
Yeah definately a 1988 match

@superkraft2 This was RECORDED in 1987. I'm SO sick of all the dorks who keep insisting it's 1988.

@tmattrope Thats why they mentioned the first ever clash of champions which was in 1988, next time do your homework idiot
superkraft2 1 year ago
If they are talking about Sting wrestling Ric Flair at the Clash of the Champions, this is 1988, not 1987.

we should have known from history that when a company gets bought out they bury the talent. UWF-WCW----WCW-WWF

You mean WWE buring WCW talent?
I think it was more than that. As its been said many times.
