  • Its weird how electronic music is popular now days, even though its usually just some doucher on a laptop making 4/4 beats. In 70's, hardly anybody gave a shit about electronic music yet it was brilliant. I don't get it

  • @gluequestOFFICIAL that's the power of music my friend ;)

  • I remember this being shown on TV

  • it's a fake ! the video is the true "coventry cathedral", but the sound is just taken from "ricochet" lp (1975), an album recorded live in france.

  • @frebsonic Please search for Barock 3. That one is definitely live. This is more like added documentary.

  • @frebsonic It's not really "fake." This is the video that the BBC showed. For some reason they decided to use Ricochet as a soundtrack instead of the music they actually played there. I made a video of this with a fan recording of the actual show, matched up as best I could. I should upload it.

  • Oh and one more question, the reel to reel we see @4:21, is that what a "tape loop" is?

    thanks

  • This is so awesome. Thanks for posting.

Didn't Klaus Schulze leave Tangerine Dream after Alpha Centauri to pursue solo work?

  • Can you believe? It´s from 1975 i love TD

  • TD gods of electronic music

  • DAS ELEKTRONIK MUSIK¡¡¡¡

  • people dont know dick about electronic music today

  • masters!

  • can anyfriend give as a link to know the full story of this particular event? I mean how they can play a concert in religious place etc etc ? can somebody give us more info's ...thanks lads...

  • @morty13pao In the "Krautrock: The rebirth of germany" documentary the explane how they gort to play in cathedrals(minute 41:06).

  • @MrMedled

its also a matter of copyright. The video is not public domain and the recording of the live music neither. So I won't publish this. And I am not sure, is the video is actually in the right picture sequence of the live recording. Maybe the video was cut to the best looking pictures and then the music was laid on to of it. The concert was not as good as Ricochet (which is also a heavily cut and remixed live recording) anyway.

  • @realqwave Obviously when the electric guitar section comes in Edgar is playing keys still SO the music is most definitely not actually this live concert track.

  • @sturoc0 ..The music is identical to the Poland album!

  • But the music is just the plain "Ricochet Part One" music. The music of this concert (4 th October 1975) we see was not officially released. But its on the Tangerine Leaves Vol. 6.

  • amazing :D

  • Totally amazing! WOW! Thanks for the share.

  • Live at Coventry by Tangerine Dream is quite a musical feat!
