I always used google but recently I switched, I find bing to be much better. Took me about a week to get used to it with going to google a few times but now I would never use google again. People don't give bing a chance. They are missing out, sadly.
If you get a Google result and substitute the google dot com with bing dot com, it works without providing an error. As a bonus, you see the same listing Yahoo Search would have provided.
I was skeptical as I was used to using google, but after using bing for a few days I took a liking to it. It basically gives you 95% of what Google gives you, but it has its own unique features which Google sometimes doesn't have it. Overall it's very organized and simple
You are a complete idiot. Bing is so much more organized than Google. It brings up better search results, and it sorts them in categories. The video previews are awesome, and the image search narrowing is pretty good. Try Bing for more than 5 searches and I can almost guarantee that you like it.
Bing is way better than Live Search. For the first time, you actually get decent search results. As a die hard Google user, Bing is definitely something I would use.
Just use Wolfram Alpha to answer questions... E.g.: Typing "Caffeine" in Google's og Bing's search box just produces some links to Wikipedia and so on.
"Caffeine" on Wolfram gives me the molecular mass, the structure etc.
google is nothing like BING search for a video and hover over with mouse the video and it will play and search a picture and you dont have to change pages
I certainly do not need a decision engine since I'm a human an my own master who decides himself what to do and what not to do. If I want to eat in an expensive restaurant, I don't need some machine that tells me that the burger store next door is much cheaper. It's still ME deciding; I'll stay witch good old Google.
I think u make a good point. If you know what u want and know how to find the info, then I think google is OK. But I think that most ppl who aren't as internet savvy and tech capable can use Bing's "guidance". And believe me, there are a lot of ppl like this. Many are older and not as smart with technology and don't want to poke arround a lot. At least there are a lot like this in US.
I tried this. This is pretty good. An "assistive search engine". Context on the target page is pretty good too (not perfect but mostly pretty relevant). Front page theme discovery is pretty neat too for bored ppl. I don't think the results are THAT different from Google's. SEO's game google so much you have to page like crazy these days too. I'm sure ppl will start gamging Bing too if it become popular, but Bing wins at this stage for the avg person methinks.
looks alright, though i think no one is waiting for 200 buttons as a homepage. google's interface is simple and user friendly while the possibilities are huge. nevertheless quality needs competition! i guess its worth a try ^^
Did you try the image search? Instead of implementing a next/previous function, they did this smooth scrolling where it will retrieve up to like 1000 images or something. That's gotta be some bandwidth intensive feature though. But I guess M$ can handle that lol. I'm sure some older computers might blow up trying to load all those images into memory though. Heh How do you get image #1001???

NO! Google may be the beast that owns half of the internet, but they know how to keep that half user friendly most of the time unlike Microsoft.

A decision engine ? Thats their line ?
Bullshit ..! I dont need a search engine to force me to buy stuff from the sponsors who slip the most cash into Microsoft bra ...
Almost everything you read as "reviews" now on internet are just ads that looks like reviews but are ads.
Decision ? Yea right. Bing will be the biggest disguised ads fest ever ...
I prefer to make my own decisions and I will stay well out of range of this octopus.

And only with this clip, we already know that Wallmart threw a lot of cash into Bing and they will popup on top of the pile everytime ...
Search engines are the entry door for custumers (we, us) and compagnies try to sell us to Fucking Big Corps Inc.
Bing is their mousetrap ... Its so obvious its just 100% bullshit ...
Bing = (B)ut (I)ts (N)ot (G)oogle
