There was really no brutality here I hate to say. I hate cops like any informed citizen but after watching all three of the videos of this incident I gotta say these cops were rather composed. Perhaps rights were violated, Im not from there so I dont know local laws etc. When they gave everyone the option to pack up and leave I would have taken it. It would be easier to formulate a plan to regroup somewhere without being taken to jail. Respect for standing up for what yo think is right though!

1) The USA is not a communist country. Go get a job. Mcdonlads is always hiring.

2) People were arrested for corrupting the law. Homelessness does not give you a free get out of jail card to break the law.

3) People can't impose their view, like you ignorantly suggest. You cry like a two year old girl, "elections and letters don't work" wa wa wa. This is a democracy where the majority rules, not your minority of ignorant protesters who think that their view is the only view there is.

4) The police were administering the law that has been considered for the benefit of the majority. If you think the government is doing some kind of injustice go to court where you can hurt somebody more than a simple punch to the face.

Hopefully everyone of these ignorant self untitled bigots were charged. Next time police should use tasers after the first five minutes.

These cops were much too nice. Hopefully this serves as a precedent for policemen to just taze these animals.

I am behind these kids all the way . I wish I could've been before the arrests and talked to them about finding a more low profile camp dpot. I have been there many times as far as living in the elements but I learned to seek out the more keen spots.

The understanding between citizens and societies is that societies are made up of systems that are supposed to cares for the citizens and in turn the citizens participate in activities that perpetuate those systems. The social irresponsibility of these people is a direct reaction to the social irresponsibility of those in charge of piloting the systems for the common good of the citizenry.

the point people are trying to make with these videos, is that arcata has a problem with ignoring the fact that they have an unemplyment and homeless problem. But rather than dealing with it like they should. They would rather just arrest everyone and sweep it under the rug.
