*sigh* Why do current gen programmers think that massively bleached out lighting makes something more real? Or more motion blur than my shitty 2mp camera? Both of these things are indicative of a cheap camera and better ones take measures to reduce them.

@nambreadnam Agree, they use too much motion blur and HDR. Also too much Ambient Occlusion (like in this video) looks awful and unrealistic. In real life objects don't have a black halo around them, the motion blur is almost unnoticeable and the HDR doesn't exist.

@montotosk Yip, it looks much better if the AO takes the same colour as the indirect lighting. (Say for daytime outdoor scenes there should be blueish shadows from the sky colour)

I think the problem lies with people emulating how a camera would look and act, whereas it's not a camera ingame, it's a pair of eyeballs. Eyeballs don't have lensflare, only very slight motionblur and respond to lighting changes much faster than a camera does. Although, it's "photoreal", not actually real :P
