Not to be cocky, he did extremely well, but I wouldnt call this 3d at all, looked more like a precision acrobatic performance. He did hover a bit, but it wasnt very controlled. Ive seen the same stunts at my club daily, and have done many myself. I do like, however, how the music was coordinated so perfectly.

I wouldn't say its easy but I could definitely do those maneuvers, especially in a gym with no wind and with a plane with those kind of throws. I don't claim to be some astounding pilot, but I know I can torque roll just as good if not better at around 2:00. I even have a video showing it. And to the guys who are saying its tough to fly to a rhythm, I say about 4 or 5 practice runs and most songs, especially the way he did it, wouldn't be tough to fly along with. But that's just me.

I like the fact that this guy put graceful, epic RC flying with music that is equally graceful. Sure, some "Danger Zone" would have also been fitting, but seeing as the aerial acrobatics displayed here were refined and not raw skill, the music was fitting.

What causes an airplane to stay airborne when it is upside down? The sheer physical force exerted by the prop? I thought the airfoil only worked when it faced up.

@DoubleJStudio: Flight is dependent more on 'angle of attack' than the airfoil shape itself. Obviously, optimizing the airfoil will change and improve flight characteristics but this plane is a 'flat foamie' with literally just flat sheets of 3-5mm thick foam as wings (and everything else). They actually fly exactly the same upright as inverted and produce no lift at zero angle of attack. It's much more technical but this will get you to the right google searches if you're still curious. :)
