Great balance, the only problem is that the inner can will burn out and all of your hard work will be wasted.
Stainless is working well in mine, just a PITA to work with.

Great job BTW, forgot to say that in my comment below.
You can use diesel fuel or lamp oil to light these stoves. 91% isopropyl will also work.
I like diesel because it's safe. Diesel can only be lit after soaking into the wood chips. It's more "combustible" , not flat out flammable.

Use a small stainless steam table pot for your burn pot next time. It will last a long time and is easy to screw down to the paint can lid.
