  • @mandavs rounchy vyhrava:)

  • where are Eddie Cochran, Gene Vincent; Buddy Holly ? the three most talented US rock 'n' rollers.

  • I know this list isn't comprehensive, but there were some great Riffs from James Burton, Rick Nelson's guitar player that should have been included.

  • Hasel Adkins...came to a sad end. Very few remember him.

  • I remember Hasil well, never saw him live, but I've got his music and A signed photo of him. Not sure who it's signed by though.

  • On April 15, 2005, Adkins was deliberately run over in his front yard by a teenager on an ATV. The perpetrator was apprehended by police (after running over another person a short distance down the road from Adkins' house), and Adkins identified him in a picture the police showed him. Ten days later, on April 25, Adkins was found dead in his home.

  • Real rock was before 1963. I think music took a dounturn after that.

  • Did it ever....late 40s to early 60s...after that, forget it (mostly)

  • The british invasion ruined it in my opinion. I love AMERICAN rock! I can't stand the hippie stuff!

  • no johnny cash noway man come on

  • Wow, I never knew CCR's Susie Q was a cover.

  • It was Dale Hawkins best tune, but he had a few other good ones.

Being a Jimmy Page fan you would now how much the new guys put their own twist to other people's music, just ask Jake Holmes, Willie Dixon and Robert Johnson.

Of course Bill Haley covered Jackie Brenston's version of Rocket 88, so the covers go way back :)

  • There were many here, on both parts 1 and 2, that I had never heard before. You just gave me an education. Thanks!

  • This was a walk down Memory Lane and a salute to rock's pioneers and early forefathers.

  • So... THAT'S where the guitar thing in BEP's Pump It comes from ... Miserlou by Dick Dale, thanks.

  • thanks a lot I enjoyed it
