Aryan0137, there are many video clips on China space achievement and including the lastest space walk which they did last year on the Zhenzhou 6th. This is in preparataion for their next mission to build a space station. They have in place prototype lunar module and vehicle. In 2007, they had sent a sattelite round the moon to map the entire surface for future site to land their lunar module. They are doing it step by step and have no intention to compete with US.

There are water recycling systems (even today on the ISS) that recycles evaporation and urine with over 99.9% efficiency. What's left is the fuel problem, much could be conserved using a free return such as proposed in Mars Direct or Mars For Less. Getting to Mars is expensive, but long-term settlement on Mars would be cheaper than on the Moon.
