First off, you are doing wonderfully. I do have one suggestion though. One would be to remove food from the area when he is learning, unless it is as a reward. I have found that distractions are much less frequent when I do that. You are such a great mom to him, you are doing great things for him. A lot of parents of children on the autism spectrum don't put in as much effort as you do. He is so lucky to have you and your husband as parents.
your a great mom! :) i am also teaching my pddnos daughter to read. so far so good. i am actually having a more difficult time potty training her than actually teaching her academics:(
