Without "ladies of the voice" like Aretha Franklin,Chaka Khan,and Patty LaBelle there would be no sisters in voice today. many of these ladies today can really sing,But the material is really really lacking. Ladies of song today,take some lessons from the true "Divas" and study the form. Your voice and not your body is what really sells music. Chaka,Aretha,and Patti earned their place in musical history. I don't think many of todays females artists will. Spend that maoney while you can,ladies.

This tribute is an embarrassment and not on the level that a Chaka Khan deserves. Aretha giving Chaka her award was on point. I wonder what was going on in Chaka's mind when she was saw this.

Jaguar sounds terrible. Vivian hmmm. Yes those whistle notes were not pretty, but I STILL love Betty and she does deserve a turn to be honored. She recorded her first hit n 1968 and was recording before that.

I've been trying not to say this but that BAND SUCKS! Really come on I know it is better band members around. This is the R&B foundation. They are really sorry but I love the work that the foundation is doing.

But in all fairness Betty has been a long time Chakaholic of the first order & paid tribute to the "Second Coming of Aretha" on her "Clean Up Women" medley.betty bites a lot of Chaka in hr music. i wish someone would post her "Flowers Don't Bloom Here Anymore".Very Chakarish!!!

Betty Wright is icredible! Somebody should honor her. Betty was in the business longer than both Chaka and Teena both, I do still honor them all but Betty should've gotten an award that night too.

this is horrible.I have seen jaguar rock some tunes and betty has some classics but this just goes to show you that singing a chaka song is the real test of a artist ability...

Jaguar sucks!!! This is scary embarassing!!! AND, OMG!!!, Vivian Green sounded like nothing on "Through The Fire". LIve performances really show ppl up. THe band really sucks in a big way. Betty Wright, thank you!!! Too much movin' around and some of those whistle notes were just ugly.
