Ok so i have been playing golf for around a year and a half and just under bogey golfer, probably 15-17 handicap. Should i go with the 1.0 or 2.0 and why? What is the difference.?
just got a set.. hit everything .. cb ap1 nike pro combo callaway razr.. best irons!! with my old 6 iron i hit it 140 ish. now everything is around 165 170. when u hit the sweet spot the ball just shoots off. and they're really cheap now. I would recommend these!!
i just picked these bad boys up as my first golf set EVER.. lmaooo i literally just started this past monday, and I'm seeing where all the fuss is coming from! fantastic when things go well, and absolutely infuriating when it doesn't.. what a beautiful game
@rdncklumba5030 I would say it depends on how you play man, I shoot about a 7 handicap from blues and I switched from nike irons to these and now im shooting terrible lol, nearly doubled my handicap..I think its the shaft length and the offset of each iron, makes it more difficult to hit the ball for me and when I do they go sooo far, I hit my 6 iron 220 yards on average with these, I would like to hit a 6 iron 190 max..They are weird clubs to get comfortable with..Good luck!
my girlfriend got me a set of these for chrismas, took me a little while to get used to them but now that i have i don't know how i played without them, the sound it makes when you hit the sweet spot is amazing
You do sum great reviews Thanks.... I'm wanting to move from my Nike ignites to a better set I play off 12 would u say these would be good to switch to ? I really don't like the pings because of the offset in them I just can't bring myself to like them
i'm looking to get my first set of custom made irons, i am crossed between the callaway x-22, the taylormade 2.0 and the wilson di11. i am not bothered about the cost but if you could could you give me 1st 2nd and 3rd and why you chose the 1st. thanks.
jpx 800 or jpx 800 pro or burner 2.0? or even any other suggestions. just recently im not playing well but a few weeks ago i was playing like 14-15 handicap
Hi the burner 2.0 irons a good game improver and the dark metal finish against the chrome looks nice. But and a big but the dark Colour will start to scratch very easy when in the bag makes them look well old after a few rounds.
Can you discuss the shafts? Ive been seeing Uniflex lately and I just tested my friends Burner 1.0 with stiff 85 steel shafts. I was looking at the 1.0 and 2.0 but the shafts more commonly offered are uniflex. I have always played stiff and from my research, the Uniflex shafts are in between regular and stiff. Please help with any information.
Hi Mark Devon here from B.C I 'am a 7 handicap and have just purchased the burner 2.0 club set i can hit the driver over 300+ consistently straight and irons distance is phenomenal with my old paradise irons i would have to hit on a par 3 210 yrds a 5 iron with the burner 2.0 i can use a strong 7 or a nice and controlled 6 i will admit they have cut my game by 4-5 strokes each game so thank you for recomending these clubs oh and im only 15.
You know what I'd like to see, is someone like this guy to compare clubs like Pinemeadow or Gigagolf, that make these clone clubs to see how they compare to the name-brand ones.
Would just be interesting. Not saying they'd be as good, better or worse, but they probably wouldn't since this is the stuff they sell.
I was thinking if you could do a comparison between the new TAYLORMADE R11 HYRBRID and the ADAMS GOLF A7 HYRBRID. I need a new hybrid and would really appreciate some pro tips. I subscribed to you because I really like the reviews you do, I hope you can help me out!
I have been at a Taylormade Demoday yesterday and ordered my 5-PW with Steelshaft 85g and midsized grips right after. Your video made me considering these irons and i absolutely was enthused.
thanks a lot mark for your work, i played Wilson X-31 before and needed a set of irons, since i love the game.
@mikegasify depends where you live. if you live in canada you can go to golftown and get a free deom of whatever clubs you want. i live in canada and thats what i do.
hi... im thirteen years old, and im looking for new set of irons. I realy like the taylormade burner 2.0, but i dont know if they are right for me? i am looking for more distance and higher ball flight. Also i am not very tall, with shoes- about 5 4
1st of all, great swing! I have been playing nike pro combo forged irons for several years. i hit them fairly well. best score ever is 76 with them. I have a tendacy to hit "fat" shots with them however and lately i've been high 80s mid 90s. i bought the burner 2.0s recently and i've only played 9 holes with them and didn't like them. I know i have to get use to the new club, but do you think im stepping backwards by going to an improvement iron (2.0s)?
@trentmapp i dont think your going backwards man, easier to hit irons can only help you out, I used to hit the mizuno mp 33 blades, shot in the 75-88 consistently, tried the burners and now im shooting in the 70-75 consistently it helped me take out woods for wedges mainly because they're real long and feels good to swing easy and get the same distance from a heavy swing on my old blades but yeah man, they can only help you out, hope it helps
Just played my first round with the new burners.... Fantastic clubs. Hit extremely far, very forgiving, look stunning...... Can't wait to get back out there!
How are the 2.0s compare to the 09s? I remember you did your 09 review with a machine that measures smash factor and ball speed. Can you do the same with the 2.0s compare to the 09s? I am looking at purchasing one of these irons and is wondering if it's worth the $200 extra to buy the 2.0s. Thanks.
I am a nine handicapper gave up when I was 19, just started playing again after 8 years. I have Cobra Gravity Backs. Just looking at purchasing new clubs. I hit the burner recently and am due a fitting soon. Hit them really well and 10 yards atleast further. How do the shorter irons go? I hit a high ball. Interested in the AP2'S/ I15's/ Burner's, and the look of the new Cleveland CG16'S (tour). wondering what you thought, and if you could so a review for the GC16'S
First... great reviews, I alwys check out your reviews before trying to make a change.
I am looking to replace my irons and I am concidering the Burner 2 or the MP53.
The fiiter I saw today is a Taylor Made rep and suggested the B2. I am going to see the Mizuno fitter next week. Can you give me a your thoughts between the two? I have clubhead speed at 88 ball speed 108. Playing now at 10 hcp. Have been devoting a lot of time at the range and plan on continueing that trend. Thanks.

Just tested my brand new Burner 2.0 steel regular today. Clubs look beautiful, my heart ached as I hit down on the first ball. They feel great, but they have ball marks on them now!
I have a burner plus irons and the burner 2.0 was certainly said to be better but the feel qnd difference is really not big but it's mostly the emotion of thought having a great iron will improve your game
I think the set runs 4-GW and if the clubs are 20 yards longer there will definitly be some major distance gaps between the GW and the 54 or 56 degree SW.
this question could be a bit dumb but if your club head is fitted and is a "screw-on", with a high swing speed and high use wouldnt that possibly unscrew itself at a certain point? im considering buying a set and getting them fitted but i dont want to run into issues with them in about a month. on my driver the stock rubber guard on the end of the clubhead is sliding off from my swing speed. i wouldnt want that happening with my iron set. if you could send me a reply that would be great. thanks!
Brilliant review, I am thinking about getting a new set of game improvement irons, do you prefer the mizuno jpx 800 or the taylormade burner 2.0? Thanks
Thanks for the great review! I'm debating between buying the r9's vs. the 2.0's. I'm almost cautious of the 2.0's because they seem to go too far. I've heard many people say they hit their PW 150, and my gap W goes 120, so there's a huge gap. I'd appreciate any help on this matter.
Might sound like a daft question but with the faces being very thin are they liable to wear out quicker than normal iron faces that are thicker ? and also, wont the black scratch easily with off centre hits ?
