Which makes me happy; I hate the illusion that humans are above all other creatures. Like intelligence justifies being pricks to animals and committing mass murder and making them live terrible lives.

Each and every time we believe that we have found a solid wall between humans and other animals, it shatters: Cognition, language, tool use, social organization, war, strategy, teaching... need I go on? The fact of the matter is is that we are no different from any other creature other than that we are a little farther on. There is NOTHING keeping other species from eventually reaching our level.
