  • thank you!!!!!!

  • Thank you for this tute. Is this a destructive process? In other words, does STP attach the rendered "noise-free" file to the FCP sequence? If I remember correctly, there is a System Setting in FCP 6 and 7 that allows files edited by an external editor to automatically replace the FCP file. Please explain.

  • @hartfilms2007

Hi, It's not destructive as long as you keep your SoundTrack Pro project file. If you save a copy as .aiff then it would be destructive in terms of your ability to go back and undo things.

  • Question: I have multiple clips with the same background noise. How do I get rid of this on them all at once?

  • Why would the audio go out of sync?

  • OMG! YOU SAVED ME SO MUCH TIME! THANK YOU!

  • wow… so simple and so helpful… thank you!!!

  • Thanks . . . I have seen people try to explain the process without explaining that you need to select the whole clip between the noise print and the reduction process. Nice and clear!

  • I remember seeing this in a software demo several years ago but had never tried it till I came across this clip. I did find that it threw the sync of the audio track out over the course of a long clip though. In fact, once the track was reopened in Final Cut, the audio track was shorter than it was previously and the waveform was behind the actual audio, requiring manual shifting of the track to resync. Any ideas?

  • thanks a lot!

  • This helped me in a clutch on the last day of an edit. Thank you so much for this great tutorial!

  • Thank you for this. I just followed your steps and have been able to clean up my audio considerably. Thanks again for posting

  • This worked wonders on my audio - canceled out a dishwasher 5 feet away.

  • Fantastic. Thank you thank you very much for the big help!

  • great tut....I learned something today!

  • If I am using the same clip in the timeline, but have already cut it up how do I go about apply the noise reduction in one clip to the same noise in other clips. I am trying to get rid of background noise, should have done this in the beginning but didnt. Any help would be great. Thanks

  • @DNKENTERTAINMENT Hi, you should see a 'send only referenced media' checkbox after you send your file into the SoundTrack Pro Audio File project. That should do the trick.

  • Do you know how to get rid of a continuous background noise?

I did an outside interview of a man and there is a constant loud humming noise. I've tried the noise print, noise reduction, and adjusting the amplitude.

  • That is exactly what I needed. It was a great help, thank you!

  • Dude, that was a great help to me, thanks greatly!

  • great it worked! You really helped me out, thx.
