My old neighborhood. Nostalgia!

I remember the pony rides, the Merry Go Round on a truck, the Italian Water Ice man, Mr. Softee coming around, the 9th Street market, the trolley cars, the Doo Wop street corner groups, the carnivals, the roller skating rink, the dances, etc.,etc.,etc. I thought it would always be that way. It was great fun!

This was my old "Hood" It's sad too see how run down it is...In the clip, I spotted F M Drexel school on 16th & moore st. It was built in 1888. I went there, my Mom and Dad did too....Memories. As for Blavat...I could only tolerate him for so long. He ruined every song with his constant talking....Did go to Chez Vous dance....It was the Place for the young So. Philly crowd in the early 60's.. Those were GOOD days!
