Guys I'll solve the problem.. I have fully tuned and all bolt ones FD with stock turbo, street ported 3mm upgrade, 1600 cc boch injectors at secondary.....reliability comes from who rebuild your engine if you are running less then 14 psi with perfect condition tuned proper then stock twin well be perfect for up to 325~340~ whp single is little better reliability but that's when u want more power ..

What are you talking about, EVERY SINGLE third gen Rx7 has a twin turbo setup from factory. You couldn't get a factory twin setup from mazda anytime previous, just a choice between a non and single turbo. So not only is it a sin, it isn't possible.

Not to be argumentative, but a lot of people switch to running a single turbo setup as the complex sequential turbos tend to wear out and cause cooling issues without proper mods.

But it wasnt a factory option, no. Very real nonetheless.

@Engelados I dont own an RX7 but want one. I have read it gets rid of the mess of vac lines in the engine bay and is more reliable, can make more HP etc etc. I have heard some people do it more as a reliability upgrade than anything. That is just what I have read.

@Engelados I'm not going to argue with you, but you clearly don't understand. People don't simply remove one turbocharger and just run the car with one of the stock turbos. They take out both the stock turbos and replace them with a single, large, very efficient turbo. Thus making the car more reliable, and in almost every case creating more HP. Read around and hopefully you will understand.

Sigh. I had one of these right off the truck. It had teething problems, but when sorted out it was the best hot car I ever had.

Got it up to 150 mph on a Texas freeway. I ran out of guts before it ran out of oomph.

Had to sell it after a layoff. So sad. But at least I had it for a while.

8000? well considering that the rotary is only 1.3 liter compared to a 5.0-9.4 liter there damn good engines...people think there junk only because they dont take care of them. a maintained rotary can last just as long and reliable as piston

displacement in a rotary is far different than in a cylinder, if it were really only a 1.3 liter then it should get about 40mpg. rotarys have to be rebuilt regularly because of their poorly designed seals.
