  • she's nineteen give her a freaking break. she goes to my school and she's amazing. i love her voice and i give her props for going out there and singing her heart out. f the haters

  • Wooow *-*

  • ARGHHHHHHH!!!!!!! That was HORRENDOUS!! It's not that they're not good.. But damn.. she's trying too hard and her voice is so effin' sharp it literally hurts my ears. BHC is a hard song to sing, so props for trying. But seriously.. that was NOT belting.. that was SCREAMING. Check Carrie Underwood's high notes on this song (live version on the Grammys), now THAT is belting..

  • @TheReinZee Sorry, but Miss Underwood doesn't belt anything in Before He Cheats, she just uses her "nose" register. This is proof you don't know what "belting" is.

  • @EdoBigFish I disagree.. "nose" register? puh-lease. Really? Have you heard Carrie's concert performance of this song AND I Know You Won't? This girl is screeching. If you can't hear that, I pity your eardrums.

  • @TheReinZee Yes, "nose" register :D Don't "puh-leeease" me if you don't know what you're talking about. Now I know you really don't. And about screeching, she just went out of pitch on some notes, but i think the judges (that are faaaaaaaar more expereinced than us) would have noticed if she were screaming. Now, puh-leeeease, don't worsen your situation, you already look like Miss Underwood's loyal lapdog.

  • I didn't like this song starting around 1:20. Katie's control kind of let go and she wasn't holding notes really well. Screaming != Belting. Listen to Amy Whitcomb (i.e., Delilah - Grenade) for an amateur who can belt. This was their problem the whole season. When they did well, they did REALLY well, and that's what got them to the finals, but they just weren't consistent enough to really compete with Pentatonix and DA.

  • Katie's opening notes are the only time i've been impressed with Urban Method. Like really. Couldn't believe my ears at first, had to rewind and watch it again.

  • You cant deny that she has range, at least... she does it easily

  • i odnt know why people didnt like it....it was a very powerful performance for them and i think it pushed them towards the finals....and katie, WOW! AMAZING!

  • Ever noticed the groups always line up the exact same way when hearing the judges?

  • Katie can sing her heart out, but she makes an ugly face when she does.

  • that was kinda painfull ....

  • did anyone else find her voice a bit annoying and piercing?

  • I loved Katie in all the other songs people criticized her in. I don't like her in this one.

  • Ok Duckbear you don't think anyone is good do you?

  • Crazy Katie!!!! LOL

  • i have to say that even tho her voice is amazing, her country imitation is a little off. but they did awesome!

  • Oh my god she's not singing she's wailing and screaming

  • they should have Kim sing more leads

  • Katie is a horrible singer. She is always flat, out of breath, and hurting my ears. Seriously, why wasn't Urban Method eliminated sooner?

  • @terribithiajjls12

Shut up!! (in shock) She is like - my favorite - female singer on the show.

  • how bed version, maybe cuz of vocals mmmm.....

  • Although I do like Katie's voice and breakthrough in this song, I really don't like the Urban Method version of this song. It felt a bit like they weren't doing country so much as just... showing off Katie's talents. Just my opinion, though. =/

  • @merubear

Country doesn't matter when you've got Katie's talents. ;) Well, I think Katie did better than the original.

  • the lead has a whiny voice

  • @n3wb223

Thats just the sound that anyone is going to get at that height.

  • @mrduckbear11 i dont care who you are but no one cares what you think about their singing...id like to see you go up there and sing your heart out like any of them. and just for the record, im sixteen and extremely into music and this performance is one of the best ones that was on the show

  • This was by far their best performance! I don't like it when the guy raps. It ruins their songs

  • @MsAirsoftGangsta

Thats exactly how I feel xD

  • my only positive feeling from urban

  • I like this better than the original.

  • They took the song too fast i felt.

  • does anyone think that the girl that sings lead looks a little like Kelly Clarkson it's funny.

  • the thought process of Urban Method: "Maybe if we have Katie scream some high F#'s the whole song, they'll think it's good..."

    my ears are bleeding.

  • @ahleesohneberx3 Its a song about cheating. Its supposed to symbolize the anger of being cheated on.

  • @ahleesohneberx3

    Then stop listening. ;)

  • ALL IM SAYIN IS...Katie can get it.Real talk.

  • she yells so loud she busted my speakers and i know this is a rap group but i think they ruined this song

  • @freewillie12 They're not a rap group. They're a hip hop group.

  • @freewillie12

They aren't a rap group, they're a hip hop group.

  • I think Katie is flat when singing melody... but damn, she can wail.

  • Katie is so good!!!

  • The girls definitely weren't weak in this performance. Wish it hadn't taken them so long to finally kick some ass.

    Horrible choreography, though.

  • I usually like this group... but the lead didn't sound quite right with this song.

  • Terrible background vocals in the chorus. and katie is just....smh

  • I do like repeating myself. This is still my favorite group and Katie is awesome as I have said since day 1. And Pentatonix is still my no. 2.

  • Go put your Delilah comments on another video!!! If you want to appreciate how Urban Method transforms a song and makes it their own then by all means watch and enjoy. But if all your going to do is complain how they should've gone instead of Delilah I don't want to hear it anymore.

  • Everyone please Shut Up. -.-

I love urban method, and i strongly though they should have left with their rihanna medley, but this week dont hate on them for delivering, and yea its Fucked Up Delilah is Gone, If Afro Blue aint gone, some sits going down.

  • Wow, what a voice...

  • i dont like these people at all :P but this was really good. i actually started singing this today because of this

  • im glad delilah left i mean they r good but i got sick of them, next to leave better be afro-blue cause they just twist every song into a jazzy version and its annoying

  • @Mondo565 THAT'S WHAT AFRO BLUE DOES!!! They are a jazz group, and to be able to take country, rock, and top 40 songs and make them jazz is true talent .Pentatonix turns a lot of songs into pop like stuff,Urban Method turns some songs into rap music, how is that any different. You can't expect a JAZZ group to sing a rock song, that's like expecting Eminem to sing a ballad.

  • @TechnologyMAN1245 Actually, u might both be missing the point. The whole point of doing theme nights like 'hip-hop' and 'country' night are to see the versatility, or the ability to do different styles, of each group. That's where the talent and skills of each group have to come in. The judges want to see how they do outside of their 'speciality'. However, the judges also want 2 see how they incorporate their specialitya little into the theme. So they need to find more of a 'healthy median'.

  • Okay really guys? When the lead girl on Dalilah screams everyone loves it but when the girl in Urban Method screams its "Thats all she does!! Complain!!"

  • Idk about this performance, they are everywhere with their vocals #DidNotLikeIt

  • @JamFlyGirl7 this isn't twitter... clueless hater.

  • This is a great performance, but I wish they would have chosen Dirt Road Anthem and let Mike rap. He needs to take lead on most.

  • Actually, the lead girl vocalist had an extremely good control of her voice! All you singers out there know when you have a belty song, you need to take care of how you handle your voice, especially a large range of notes. She wasn't pitchy, and didnt incorrectly slide notes at all. If you know this song from Carrie Underwood, you know that it is a song of revenge, so it makes sense that she needs to belt this so much--its not yelling. And unlike Delilah, the girls were spot-on with harmonies.

  • @ThreeNails3 The difference is they had 3 girls doing harmonies. Delilah had more. That being said, I loved Delilah and I'm still disappointed that they didn't nail their harmonies.

  • They really should've went home, cause before they even sung the song when they picked it i said "WATCH THEY'RE GONNA MESS IT UP!" and that girl with the yelling voice isnt even really trying to sing she fucking yelling, and they messed up even on the medley so they just fucked it ALL up to me. Horrible ...

  • the lead girl is annoying she yells all the time instead of singing

  • @freewillie12 i know! maybe she can utilize her range well but all the wailing was so annoying!

  • I thought the first line sounded off-key. But after that, iI liked it and I didn't hear anything wrong. I admire katie's breath control...did ayone else catch that insane long note in the opening number of this episode?

  • I can't believe they didn't get eliminated. How did they get to be the top two?

  • I thought THIS was their best performance.

  • I will guarantee all of you that Urban Method will win regardless of talent. The Sing Off is VERY predictable in terms of who goes home, I've guessed correctly for four weeks straight now. The judges are looking for image and concept, the talent is just a bonus. Ironic since a recording contract is the prize. Mark my words, they will win, even though the talent is only decent at best.

  • I know Urban Method has had some good performances before, but I found this one painful to listen to. Amy Whitcomb and Delilah would have done a considerably better job with this song--ironically, I think Urban Method would have done a better job with "If I Die Young" as well.

(And Katie is not the only 19-year old left on the show, so pointing it out seemed a bit superfluous.)

  • I live in Denver and I am so proud of this group. They ROCK!

  • i dont really listen to these kinda songs (country) and i cant believe urban method did this song and made it cool luvd it!!

  • Last week, I wrote a criticism of Liz and Katie, stating my belief that Urban Method can't afford to depend on them anymore for leads because they had let the group down twice in a row. Well, I'm here to say that I was wrong, and I thought Katie killed it last night in both songs. I've speculated since their first performance that she had been dealing with either confidence or severe stage fright issues, but those hinderances were gone last night and she showed she's a real powerhouse.

  • @gypsyjazzbo Be my friend (: Nobody likes Urban anymore! Idk why though.

  • she sounded like she was screaming. Delilah should still be on the show and they should have gone home.

  • I think what you might have heard is that the way she was hitting the high notes, it sounded more rock than country

  • alright I'll agree to disagree but SHE KILLED IT

  • I thought it was pretty good not as good as Pentatonix but no one is. I loved Afro Blues second song Afro Blue is my 2 they are 3 or 4 for me.

  • Does anyone know how old Myke is?

  • MISSmarsy, I couldn't agree more. She's awful & she tries too hard.

  • I don't like this at all. really, her voice isn't any good in my opinion. they should've been booted awhile ago.

  • @MISSmarsy you obviously have shit taste in vocals if you can't tell that this girl can BELT it better than anyone. i hope you're not referring to the brunette (Katie)?

  • @MISSmarsy You should seriously check your hearing, you might as well be deaf

  • Urban Method is good, but they should have gone instead of Delilah.

  • @fofilasouris Is there a way to like this comment more than once?

  • @fofilasouris I was in the audience for this episode and it was so obvious that Delilah's "If I Die Young" just killed them. The tuning issues were even more apparent live than came across on the video and the song just kind of sat there, whereas Urban Method was so on the money you could feel the energy just shooting at you. I was sad to see Delilah go too because their rock song was amazing, but at this point in the competition one bad performance was all it took to send them out the door.
