Yes it's similar to a Timmy. I think it may have more gain and is brighter seems like but the OD section of a amp 11 is a VERY similar circuit to the Timmy.
Actually it has less gain and tonal range than a Timmy. It has a slightly different opamp too. if you put a JRC4558 opamp in a Timmy and put the knobs in the right place you can basically get the same sounds out of a Timmy.
@Realfi It was just my take when I tried a timmy, I've never tried one through my home rig. I did try a Danelectro CT1 that is a timmy clone that I rehoused (used full size pots and what not) and it sounds REALLY close to the OD 11, kinda funny actually. I prefer the Dano with my new Dr Z over the lovepedal actually
Sean have this OD 11 again available for those who missed out. Just got an email from him today, as of 11/23/11 for $107 USD with shipping. This time, I ordered since I missed the first one on Oct. Can't wait to get it. It suppose to be Lovepedal's answer to the Timmy OD pedal. Is this true? How is it compared to the Amp 11?
@shawndabo Yeah I have a feeling this will be one of pedals that price goes way up on the used market in a few years. I bought it to love and enjoy not to horde but If you can get one I'd say do it now!
@zacharybroyles Hell ya. I think my friend's gonna sell me his. I'm stoked! I'm really loving the sound from that Bassman, though! You're making me want one haha.
@Fishies125 The new bassmans are great once the speakers break in, i've had mine for almost 2 years now and I love it. Put some good tubes in it and boom you're rocking. I would like to upgrade the speakers eventually (probably some webers) because it does get a little farty at louder volumes but I'm not gigging right now so it's more than enough volume for the music room.
@zacharybroyles Cool. What tubes did you put in? Weber speakers are a great idea; they're amazing! I've always loved Webers. I got a nice Mojotone 1x12 cab and I put a Weber DT12 in it. Amazing.
@Fishies125 I'm using matched set of JJs from Eurotubes, I want to try some of the Tung Sol 5881 they are supposed to sound great. Webers are on my most wanted list but just pricey to buy 4 at once! I have a Silvertone 1484 I want to spruce up, It needs some new caps, all new tubes, new reverb tank, and could use some nice speakers in the cab. Ahhhh Projects!
@zacharybroyles Ya, I only had to buy one, I can't imagine buying four haha. Ever seen that guy Jensmo75? Search for that youtube account name if you haven't. He gets amazing tone with fender amps, modding them and usually putting Webers in. I especially like the Blackface Fender Super Reverb with Weber 10A150 video he has. Great stuff.

My coupon OD 11 is fantastic! Set the drive low for that Stones vibe and then add the E Burst for singing lead tone. Brilliant!
