Here's something that happened to me one day. I was talking to my friends, as we often do, about our various views on religion, politics, human behavior, anything else we find interesting. I said that I was an atheist. Someone walked from across the room just to say that God would send me to Hell. My only response, "I don't believe in either of those things, so why should I care about your empty threat?" The guy was dumbfounded. He walked away without a word.

Excellent! I love dumbfounded Christians. Often when a Christian tells me I'm headed for hell, I ask them if they're threatening me. When they pass the buck to god, I point out that they're the one saying it, that I can't hear their god, and I repeat that it's a threat. They usually back off.

I find it disgusting when Christians say that 'God hates atheists'. First of all, that doesn't mean anything to me seeing as I don't believe in God, it's more the fact that, as an atheist, I'm being degraded. I was brought up to respect everyone, no matter what their belief, race, sexuality etc and that's why I do. It's a shame that some people can't.
Anyway, I was pretty sure that God hates haters.

An Agnostic is someone who believes it's impossible to say if there's a God or not.
A Deist is actually a person who believes that God created the world and then abandonned it.
An Ignostic isn't religious but unlike athiests, they are ignorant towards there ever being a God.
An Apatheist is someone who's just not interested in accepting it or not.

While Atheists are non-religious, all those other examples are also non religious by virtue of not belonging to any organized religion. @supercellgirl Many years ago Christianity decided it was a good idea to focus only on the New Testament and Jesus, and ignore that religion's other god, the one of the Old Testament. That god made it very clear that anyone who didn't believe in it should die.
For centuries Christianity did kill anyone who didn't believe in its god. The only reason Jesus is that religion's god now is because the prior one was too violent, even for Christianity.

I read the actual papers, articles, and books written by physicists. I don't need a video to explain the current understanding of the Big Bang. The expansion of a singularity into the universe is not something from nothing. It's something from something.
Where did god come from? Who created him? No one -- you might say. Then not everything requires a creator, which could include the universe.

First off, I've read hundreds of science books and articles. I've never heard any scientist make the claim the universe came from nothing. Second, if you make the silly something-from-nothing argument, you're left having to explain where god came from. If god wasn't created, then something can come from nothing.

The Epic Of Gilgamesh predates the bible by almost 1000 years. And many religions have stories of virgin births. And the New Testament was plagiarized from Old Testament stories, in order to fit the whole mess together and to convert Jews to Christianity.
The Old Testament was still being written up until 400 BC. The Roman stories of a virgin birth date to 300 years earlier. So you fail.

The bible has been repeatedly edited. So which version of the bible are you referring to? And the bible is not the oldest book. Over 800 years before the New Testament was written, the story of the founding of Rome was written --it includes a virgin birth story, too. The Epic Of Gilgamesh is almost 1000 years older than the Old Testament, and it includes similar stories to the bible. The bible is just a collection of plagiarized stories co-opted by Jews and Christians. .
