  • good job

  • Very well made, helpful video.

  • Thanks Nykole436,i am a student at CCES and i was part of the class that made this video. I think everyone did an amazing job. Techniclly, everyone should win. Great Job!!

  • Sharonmdoran, sweetie,I am a student at this school and my mom (Mizcatfan13) commented and you are one dumb brat. My teacher MArcia Fay competed fairly and we didn't cheat. so go on with this crap but u are faking it. jeez

  • Our attorneys have reviewed the video that received the most votes – “Fire Safety Rules” – for validation purposes. They requested that the sponsor of that entry submit the appropriate intellectual property permissions before certifying that entry as the winner. The sponsor did supply that evidence to the satisfaction of our attorneys and they have since advised us that we are clear to declare that submission as the winner of contest.

  • I've posted a video response ("Why did CCES win the Fire Safety Project?"), which has yet to be approved by PDR/whoever runs this channel. If they don't post it, it is on my channel and everyone involved in this contest needs to view it ASAP regarding the rules violations of the entrant from CCES.

  • okay, i know im only adding to the fire storm here but there are several rule infractions here that have stolen a legitimate win from another deserving team that followed the rules to the letter. This clearly uses a copyrighted or song or a cover thereof. This also is clearly edited by someone a little more capable than a 8 year old and the rules state explicitly that it has to be the product of solely the students, which its not

  • @Nykole436 Theree is a huge difference from using video editing software and a powerpoint presentation. Even though this video takes the form of a PowerPoint presentation, it still had to be done in a video editing program, particularly the beginning and ending. There is a massive difference between Microsoft PowerPoint, and even the simplest of editing programs, Windows Movie Maker. If a second grader could even make THIS, he/she would be a very advanced student.

  • @reddjetta Some of these students actually worked, hard, for weeks to pull off something to wow people. This video is essentially a powerpoint presentation with horrible audio, copyrighted songs, and clip book effects clearly edited into the video by the class' teacher.

  • @reddjetta All I originally posted was that I believed the video to break copyright rules, and wasn't going to post rule infractions here until a very disrespectful parent told me that no copyrighted work had been used and that I should go read the rules. There's very clearly a copyrighted work used 2 seconds into the video. And you think this school is the only one who had high hopes for this contest? Please. Some of these schools actually made original content for this contest.

  • This video is so original and creative it makes me want to cry.

  • I am so proud of the work everyone has done to try and win $ for the school. Good job!

  • My son is on one of the other video's and actually wrote the rap to the "fire safety rap" and of course I have a bias and would love to see them win I also think that what you did with your students was fantastic

  • Great Job CCES teachers, kids and PTA - you are all awesome!!!!

  • Even if you thought it wasn't following the rules, why would you post comments here....where Coconut Creek Elementary students, parents, friends and loved ones have come to support their school? The students are counting each "like." This video has been at the heart and soul of the school for the past week. Every day my daughter comes home, she asks how many votes we have. Please keep that in mind as you post rules and regulations and opinions here. Bonus' for teachers? Please. Play nice.

  • power point presentation?

  • I voted pickles

  • Go Bronwyn & Angela and everyone else at CCES! Great job!

  • Great video! Fire safety is VERY important!

  • Angela this is great i love and miss you and the family dearly and good job to the class it was very good and well planned out :) way to keep the world safe incase of a fire :)

  • So BLESSED to have a PTA and parents who rally behind students and staff to raise money for a good cause. It takes a village....

  • @ tatianoff 6) "when containing ... and/or music or audio composed, performed, or recorded by other persons the required Release Forms are obtained from the applicable person(s)"

  • @ tatianoff As it turns out, I'm very familiar with the rules. This video is in violation of Terms of Entry guidelines 1, 2, AND 6, at minimum.

That is to say that all elements of the video 1) "are the original work of the Student", 2) "do not infringe or violate the rights of any third party, including but not limited to, copyrights, trademarks, [etc], or any other intellectual property rights", and

  • Videos not complying with rules would not have been considered for the contest according to guidelines: "Entries not submitted in accordance with the instructions provided on Sponsor's website and the terms and conditions herewith, shall not be considered in the Contest and Sponsor shall bear no responsibility for any such misdirected entries.

  • @markayfay ""Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify during the Contest Period and take down any Entries that, in the Sponsor’s sole and absolute discretion, are in violation of any of the above terms of entry without any recourse on the part of the contestant."

    Contest period isn't over yet.

  • great job Creek!! Coconut Creek Rocks!!

  • please voteeeee!!!

  • I am an employee at this school & it is ethically sound. The students absolutely did the work themselves under the guidance of two wonderful teachers. They 100% worked hard. Love the video and the effort of the 2nd and 3rd graders!

  • what a great video it really got the point across and it will probably save lots of lives

  • I pressed thumbs up are you happy bronwyn

  • @12mantaray7 What happens if you don't?

  • @wer4geeks Then your vote doesn't count

  • @12mantaray7 Yes, yes I am! Who is this?

  • So my friends entered this contest (another video, obviously) and they told me that the rules said you couldn't use any copyrighted stuff. Which is why they worked so hard to write their own song for their entry.

I watched this video and while I find it perfectly fine, I think it's unfair that it should be allowed to compete with an introduction and closing that clearly use outside music if it was stated that this wasn't allowed in the rules.

  • A GOOD VIDEO

  • Good luck Cubs! Great job!

  • done!!! great job!!! GOOD LUCK CUBS!!!!!!

  • I am concerned that this video is using a song by The Doors and the end song (I forget the title, but I know I've heard it before) in violation of the owner's copyright. Why is this video still permitted to compete?

  • Great video!

  • haha hater's always hating, can't just be happy for kids.

  • do the kids also get to see these comments ???? what kind of example are you people showing your kids???? i'm sure everyone thinks they have worked hard... let's be more respectable like we would love our children to grow up to be :)

  • Great job guys!!

  • CCE CCE CCE GO!

  • Pretty sure it's against the rules to use copyrighted material. So even if it's a good video, it's ineligible to win.

  • @blackpartide - no copyrighted material used. Also, read the rules and

  • @tatianoff I'm pretty sure that the opening song is owned by The Doors, or a cover band.

  • @tatianoff No copyrighted material is used? I believe that an original song not created by the children counts as copyrighted material. Not to mention that even if the song was not copyrighted, OR if the song WAS copyrighted AND the teachers who edited this video had gained the rights to use the song, it would STILL be breaking the rules. I will list how in a separate post.

  • Good Job guys.

  • This video was created by 2nd and 3rd graders. Impressive! Go Cubs!

  • These are young elementary children, not high school. This video is in memory of a teacher's husband who was a fire fighter before losing his life to cancer. Yes, it would be great to win the money for the school and the fire house, but this is a truly great way to honor him. Go CCES Cubs - you are awesome!

  • If people have nothing nice to say...they should keep their comments to themselves...These kids worked hard at doing this, so what someone else's may seem better to you.....Our school could benefit from the monies....OH!!! and doesn't your child attend the school also?? won't your child be benefiting...I am from NEW YORK!!!! SAY IT LIKE IT IS!!!!! GO COUGER CUBS ...GO!!!!!!!

  • @atum1970 I must have parsed that improperly, because I swear it seems like you implied that your school, located in one of "the 48 best small places to live in america" (according to money magazine, your city website boasts), is more deserving of a prize than any of the others.

Regardless of the fact that you may think this video is superior or informative, it is important to remember that there are other competitors who are entitled to voice their opinions.

  • @atum1970 Oh really? The kids worked hard? Because it seems to me that 8 year olds are highly incapable of creating something like this. All the teacher did was record their voices and drag video clips into iMovie. I could do that in 2 minutes. Our video took two weeks to edit. I'm glad this video is going to win so people can see how much of a joke this voting system is.

  • Jabizz get yourself some help

  • @Jablzz I am a 3rd grade teacher (not at this school) but I just wanted to let you know that 8 years olds ARE very capable of creating something like this. Infact, at the end of each school year, each child in my class creates a powerpoint video that they present during our schools showcase(which includes music, slide transitions, etc). NEVER under estimate a child, you'd be surprised at what they are capable of! Way to go CCES! You all should be so proud of yourselves =)

  • I WANT CCES TO WIN!!! THUMBS UP IF U AGREE!

  • WE ARE THE COUGER CUBS!!!! CCES <3

  • GO COCONUT CREEK!!!

  • Comment removed

  • Wow. This is whats going to win? I was hoping the rap or the fire safety and you would win. No offence but this isn't as good as the others. Sorry but this is the dumbest voting system. They've got 10,000 dollars on the line and this is how they choose to do the voting? Stupid if you ask me.

  • @Jablzz No offense, but if you were to have a little heart to notice that this is second and third grade KIDS doing this project and they are actually going against upper GRADE levels, cut them some slack, I know there are other schools who are competing but my God, cut them some slack 'cause thet're only I don't know, 8?

  • @MrHitman2326 I think the kids did great, i just think that its unfair that teachers made this video. The kids narrorated it. Some of the other groups actually spent a lot of time filming and editing. The teachers did all the work. How is that fair?

And on top of that, it seems like the teachers just forced all the parents in the PTA to go home and vote so they could make their christmas bonuses. My teacher said she would buy us new programs like after effects if we won the money. Unfair.

  • I cannot believe that people actually disliked this video!! Go CCE!!

  • Great Job!

  • Awesome

  • Great Job guys. Like like like it!!!!!

  • How could anyone not like it?? Great video!!

  • Great video. Good luck.

  • Go CCE!
