@v12tommy Everyone has their own preference in life, and with a scooter he can get better gas mileage, stick with cheap insurance and he can relax while driving at the same time. And your statement about putting too much money into it is just an opinion. I would love to have a scooter like that!

@AddieCruzJr better gas mileage and cheaper insurance isn't accurate. Maybe a 50cc scooter against my example of an R1, but if you had say a 250cc scooter and a 250cc motorcycle, the motorcycle would win hands down because the scooter's type of drivetrain isn't as efficient. Also insurance goes off of engine size, but it isn't that big of a difference. A few years ago I compared insurance on a 125cc scooter at $181/mo. to a 1000cc R1 at $189/mo. which isn't a big difference.

that thing on the side by the air intake that you didnt know what is was... its an oil catch can... theyre designed and used on engines that are run full throttle a lot to keep pressure in the motor down reducing the chance of blowing gaskets

i think he used the piggy back of an öhlins shock for his suspension, the piggy back is needed for cooling the oil in the shock when drving over a lot of bumbs

Internal parts would cost easy 2000 USD for Cygnus, I think external part and paint work together maybe 3~4000 USD. Full custom work for 50cc can cost 4000 so this Cygnus must be expensive....

The thing with the ohlins sticker is a catch can. These motors spit oil out of the crank case (especially if it's been bored and stroked) and this allows that oil to collect until the motor needs it again. The can has a filter inside and the end is open to air.

Some of the mods are tasteful, particularly the performance mods. Some are just way to 'bling' for my taste, though. I never liked the 'polished' look, even on sportsbikes. Too posey.

Also I don't like it when people lower their bikes for the looks. All it does is compromise ground clearance and screw up the handling. Other than that though, it looks like the mods were meant to be there. Nice job. :)

We here in the Netherlands call it a "powerbox". Basically it's an extra reservoir for fuel that isn't burned while breaking and is used when you go on the trottle again. I have it myself on my 50cc bike. I only feel a difference when I trottle downshift first and than get on the trottle again tho. I doubt that it works that well on a scooter :).

@wes0687 That was my first guess. But you can see the rear shocks and it doesn't connect to them. My guess is that it's for extra engine oil....and since it's externally mounted it keeps the oil cooler.
