  • Did Henry Miller use the word "fainty"?

  • i think one needs to be able to appreciate life before they are able to appreciate Henry Miller.

  • @andyrawsyou dont worry ill fuck u

  • my mentor. wish i could have met him.

  • Henry Valentine Miller IS one of America's National Treasures! Visit his Museum in Big Sur in person or go to the website and enjoy! His writing was an immeasurable influence on me.

  • My grandfather passed his love for MIller's books to my mom and she passed it to me. Not only he's fantastic, he also mean a lot to me personally.

  • he is born from german parents..like bukowski...so america should shut up!

  • Happy Birthday, Henry Miller!

  • I can't think of a better old man to smoke some weed with and just talk about anything and everything.

  • sorry I meant john Lennon was Christ and henry miller is god!!!

  • One of the most beautiful voices on Earth. I miss the old Brooklyn men and women I grew up around. They could tell a story that would turn back time in your mind. Brooklyn is now populated by soft yuppies and their spoiled, soft, hipster brats.

  • @mindstormsabrewin some of us are still born and raised here. we have the spirit, it's instilled in us.

  • Love it. Love Henry Miller. He should be honored as one of America's National Treasures.

  • john lennon was christ and miller was god

  • john lennon was christ and miller was good

  • great

  • is Celine Dion a writer also?

  • vale Miller!

  • it's nice to see him when he was alive :)

  • Čovek koji je slušao anđele.

  • Fun guy, great writer, but the main guy to me was celine (not celine dion, you know, though she is a 'guy'.). As for the tree loving idiot who posted, well use your fingers instead of paper, eh...

  • things terrestial drinks and eats probably every damn day.Maybe should consider

     quitting.

  • Human-induced-global-warming deniers believe that they have a right to eat, raise children & live indoors. Henry Miller's books are printed on paper rendered from the pulp of sacred trees.

  • How many leaves do you use when you wipe your butt?

  • lux with Danish subs!

  • Why didn't he answer Knut Hamsun's letter?

  • I can't think of a better bridge between the centuries.

Imagine him and Bukowski in the same room..

No piece of ass could beat that.

  • Fuck Bukowski. He was nothing more than a cheap American rip off of Celine.

Miller was a real man of the world. I don't know of too many American writers who were as cultured as ol' Henry was.

  • @Natokowsky yea two horrible writers in the same room. how great would that be.

  • Love his " Opus Pistorum" love all of his books

  • hes very inspirational...

but, I'm not sure if hes dead or not...

  • yeah,he's dead. some years ago now.

  • His nickname was "The Brooklyn Boy," and his first book "Black Spring" is set there, so the accent fits in and figures. I like him too, but he took his style from Celine and Breton.

  • He was a fantastic writter, have all his books. And the interview is made by danish tv, when people had taste and tv wasnt ful of meaning less shows.

  • @Claus1902 i could write a henry miller book in a night. you wanna buy my book. you should love it. its gonna be a real piece of work.

  • wow...i thought he was this perverted old man,but turned out to be an inspiring misunderstood writter.a true artist.

  • Never heard him speak.Read most of what he wrote 40 years ago,and was a great admirer. Thanks for this video.

  • Bless you Henry.

As you said once.....if God was to have a face it would look like Big Sur.

So....you fell in love with God and stayed around till brother death called you.....with a smile in those eyes you said....I"m

ready for you brother....I know you bring me treasures unkown.

  • I LOVE his accent

  • how much i love u, my Henry

  • goota love him, never seen this thx so much for posting, what an interesting person. Extremely lucid for an 81 year old. His Brooklyn accent always surprises me, after years of reading him in a totally different voice :)

  • "The aim of life is to live, and to live means to be aware, joyously, drunkenly, serenely, divinely aware" HENRY MILLER

  • Just so people know - this is a rip of Tom Schiller's film 'Henry Miller Asleep and Awake' which was released on video a number of years ago.

  • thank you, you have turned a nothing night into a something one!

  • Bravo! Banzai! A thousand kudos and blessings on Henry, the Happy Rock!

  • As always, Henry Miller speaks to us by speaking of us. Perverse and universal a timeless message from a cynical optimist I always go back to MIller. Please read the "Rosy Crucifixion" or "Sexus, Nexus and Plexus." Here you will find a mature writer dishing out and dealing with past need and praise for the beauty of mania and yes, there is invested of Cendrars as I an many others are of him.

  • always merry and bright

  • Henry Miller's great, but he has his friend Blaise Cendrars copied.

  • Qué grande Millerio!

  • That God bless Henry Miller!!! The spiritual father of thousands free men around the world...

  • holyfuk quizboy!lol thank you for sharing this miller, seems to be such a rich person, feel like i could listen to him for hours... what can we all do but live life to the fullest? an inspiration greets everyone

  • What a trip! I did not know who Henry Miller was 10 minutes ago. Now, I have discovered that not only is he one of the great artists/writers from the 20th Century, he was a friend of my mother in laws. I guess that explains why I have one of his paintings in my bathroom! It is signed and dedicated to my mother in law, dated 1970. It is entitled, "The Gremlins."

  • That's so fucking cool, man. If I was rich, I'd pay you thousands upon thousands od dollars to get that painting from you. Read his books; he's amazing.

  • You are an extremely lucky person to have such a connection with Henry Miller, not to mention a signed painting. I would cherish that thing with my life.

  • I've done a fantastic discovery...

  • Henry Miller helped to open many minds including mine in the 60's.

  • Maestro Miller changed my life and my perception of human relations with his book Tropic Of Capricorn. My favorite book of all time. I would like to get burried with it.

  • Henry was way ahead of his time... a groundbreaking writer, a Bohemian genius who celebrated life to the full. Start with Tropic Of Cancer and take it from there. Genius. Thank you for sharing this fascinating monologue.

  • Mr. Miller is a fascinating/enimagtic as always. I enjoyed his monologue.

  • Bravo Henry, you Sage you !......thanks for posting this... he almost met Picasso in Cannes ,but shyed away from any sort of meeting, so his friend (and P's) Brassai (the photogropher)relates .......

  • Thank you soooo much for sharing this. I love Henry Miller. Where is this clip from ?

  • is this from the henry miller odyssey video or a different documentary all together?

  • Definetly my favourite writer of all times... Hail to Miller

  • this is just too good.

  • Always a pleasure to see Henry Miller!
