Good work on the modelling and animation, and video production quality. Well done. I bet the guy who modelled the gun in 3DSMax is intimately familiar with the Glock's design.
this is the most incredible animation I have ever seen. You are a genius. Please, please do some function animation videos and internal firing mechanics. This is what computers were made for, under, of course, the expert guidance of a supernerd (I use the term as an extreme compliment) like yourself.
dude, you're amazing, i was watching this to see if there were any similarities between the glock irl and the airsoft models and bar the loading mechanism and the firing mechanism, they are very similar, but the video looks epic and the hand motions etc look smooth and well set out to allow viewing whilst still being informative
@QUATR00 Sorry, yes you can. My uncle has some for his work as a hunter. But I'm only 13 making it illegal for me. But I think you know what I meant :D
People make taking the slide off to complicated. Put the end of the muzzle on palm of your hand that bulges out right under the thumb. take your ring finger and place it around the triggerguard. Squeeze your ring finger towards your palms, take your other hand and (using thumb & middle finger is easiest) and pull down the tabs and hold them. Let go with the hand holding the slide and triggerguard and it slides right off. Sounds complicated but it's way way easier than whats commonly recommended
Great work poloNINJA !!! Next time we wait disassemble and reassemble Steyr IWS 2000, because i'm fucking russian, and i'm don't find this vid on all hostings....
Dry firing a firearm isn't bad for it unless it's eather rimfire(like 22 for example) or an older firearm(like from World War1 or 2 for example) if it's not eather old or rimfire you can dryfire all you want unless the manufactor tells you otherwise. If your dryfireing on older weapon use shapcaps
wow this is perfectly done,I have a simple question tho, I was told two different things, can a bullet be traced because of the barrel rifling, I was told thats why its there, and I was also told that the rifling can be removed so the bullet cant be traced, please tell me weither these are true or not, thanks
@realsixer The rifling is how a bullet can be traced, but that's not is purpose. It's purpose is to spin the bullet to make it more accurate. Otherwise it's like an old musket that is not accurate. You would not want to remove the rifling.
OMG This makes it so simple to understand. Loved the colored blinking parts. This is just so much clearer than other Youtube videos showing the same thing. Thank you from a gun novice whose Glock badly needs a cleaning.
Wow, great work at the animation and all that stuff :D I tried my hand at 3d modeling for some time, but I never really got the hang of it. If I had only had this video as an inspiration :)
Great information, very helpful. On a side note; modeling is spot on, texturing is nice, lighting is just right. Also very nice camera work and animation. Narration was well rehearsed and delivered. Awesome job.
@branko2301 dry firing typically doesn't damage modern center fire firearms: especially those with a free float firing pin. The firearms that would be damaged are those where the hammer IS the firing pin (i.e. it strikes the primer directly) or rimfire firearms Glocks work sort of like a bolt action: there's no hammer per se, but rather a firing pin that's locked back under spring tension and sent forward when the trigger is pulled. (i.e. striker fired) its safe to dry fire striker pistols
Wow, thank you sir for this vid. I can tell it must have taken plenty of time to make. Congrats on the quality. It really helped me out and it is flawless animation.
