Whenever I hear this song I either think of Scorsese or Vietnam. The rolling stones bypass my thoughts. All I picture is helicopters or gangsters with that signature roll in side view Scorsese camera angle. Nice video.
Dude, it's not that I like Kubrick's films, infact it's totally the oposite, there is only two Kubrick films I like and that is Full Metal Jacket, and The Shinning, but it's his attention to detail, and way he directs actors that I like about him.
God this guy is brilliant. There is not one film he has made I don't love. Goodfellas, The Departed, Casino, Raging Bull, Gangs of New York.
Oh and I saw Shutter Island the other day and although it's different, it's still another Scorsesse classic, robbed out of the Academy Awards if you ask me.
Well done, this was brilliant! Gimmie Shelter in Goodfellas is my favorite part of the film. Everything this man touches is amazing though. Love the song & the movies!! ;)
Even though there is not many clips from casino i have to say this is the best scorsese tribute i have found on you tube.. All my favorite movies combined into one with the absolute best song possible.. Awesome job..
Martin made alot of people famous: robert deniro, joe pesci (best person he made famous), jodie foster (youngest actress he made famous), among others.
I think the Departed wins for some of the funniest fights scenes. I just love the little pause Leonardo Dicaprio's character does before he hits the "cranberry juice" guy in the head with the glass. It's almost like he considers not doing it for a second then decides, nah, I'll hit him.
Taxi Driver is a street movie. And there are certainly gangsters in it, albeit not mobsters. And Raging Bull DOES involve mobsters. If you want to get that technical, Mean Streets is not a gangster film. The Montage was never supposed to be about Martin Scorsese's gangster films. It's about the gangster characters, and influence. It doesn't say 'Martin Scorsese: Gangster Movie Tribute' if it did I only would have put in two movies. - Aside from that, all of these movies have gangs.
Are you kidding me! your a scorsese fan and don't watch sopranos yes go out and BUY the seasons on dvd trust me you wont regret it yeah he's phil leotardo a real asshole on sopranos great video by the way i enjoyed it very much scorsese is the best
love all those movies except raging bull 1:37 was perfect

Great editing to this song. I LOVE how you showed Scorsese's consistency of actions/camera angles from his different films.
Kudos, and fuck Facepunch guy.

Goodfellas was great until Ray Liotta gave up Deniro at the end.
cmblues6 3 years ago
It's based on a true story.. To have Ray Liotta not give up Deniro would have been to alter history.

I agree, it just wouldn't have fit to add more. Maybe a Bill Butcher video is in order.
