See I was at the meeting and agree with Ryan Eashoo 110%, it didn't matter how he voted it still would of been a tie.
The Flint Cultural Center is by far the most brillant thing Flint has going for it. If you prevent growth, you will be doomed.
The Flint Institute of Arts did a fantastic renovation, so did the Flint Institute of Music. These are two things Flint has going for it, why hold it back?
.......... I mean please, Dort & Billy Durant were pioneers in the carriage/auto industry. Thank them for your convenience. And they want to tear them down for a parking lot. People wake up. Ryan Eashoo is a joke. He even states in the video about who is he to get in the way of the cultural center. Ughhh, well if your job as commissioner of the Flint Historic Commision is to protect Historic Flint, then I think Ryan you are a terrible excuse as a citizen of Flint.
I think it's absurd the Flint Institute of Music has it's Music Chamber named after J. Dallas Dort, but they want to tear down three of the houses he had built there. The blue one, being the largest, was built for his secretary in 1904. The other two were built during the same era for heads of commerce, government and others to stay in while in Flint. This was when there was a population of roughly 3,400.
This guy lies. Resending the vote only stops the demo. Plus he now says he wants the houses moved? Only 3 houses will be moved. And thats still illegal. He underquoted the cost by $100G.
He even got the lady's name wrong who's suing & said she lives "on the site" which she doesnt.
