lol no thanks a lot. I agree that film and television do show all men fighting for the affection of "Ms. Perfect". That goes deeper on a psychological level than just looks. Men are primal and hunt for the most hunted. It is a crappy way of looking at it but the sad truth. I know what you mean about the single status, I've heard often from guys that they need a girlfriend. I personally don't get it. Why rush into a relationship with the next "cat you can bag"? It completely ruins the meaning.

as a generalization you are mostly correct.

so I'm going to generalize a bit, and use movie references (sue me.)

many women do feel that way, and for that you are indeed correct. BUT with that generalization I am forced to make my own: these "nice guys" that you see in movies are always after the "it" girl. that "it" girl is usually the pinnacle of the perfect woman, ie. body type and or appearance etc.

so in that way, the generalization goes both ways. but there is more to be considered.

personally, it all comes down to the laws of attraction. There are plenty of girls who do like the "nice guy", I being one of the "rare few". There is undoubtedly something attractive about the "bad boy" image, what that is I can't even tell you.

I think men worry a bit too much about being "single". I think the "single" part shouldnt matter, what does matter is who you ultimately end up with. The person should matter, not your marital status, unless of course you're getting to be middle aged..
