lol surprisingly small amount of recoil for a DE .50cal. That gun would come up and smack her in the nose in real life lol. Especially with those skinny arms.
@arnow77 So. . . Zombie Nikita comes back from the dead? Therefore the evidence is of her existence is just not a problem? Not even a little bit?
"Oh, it's alright guys. She was declared dead already, this is nothing, really, just some of her fingerprints a few years after she was wiped from our records. It's not like anything could really be behind this." Just zombies. Doing there thing. Killing people. Right guys?
@TheMerrow3 I think you'd better watch the movie before telling me i'm saying crap. it's a classic, you will love it. and for the fingerprints I assume that as nikita's employers are the secret services, they don't have problems to erase it from police's records. By the way I said "declared dead", and didn't say she "is dead". Just watch the movie it's really a great one
The cut at 3:27, where Serra's score matches Besson's tracking shot of Nikita belting it to what she thinks is her escape is burned into my mind. It's sensation as cinema, but it works on an emotional level, the image, the movement, the sound, all perfectly synchronised for effect.
My all time favorite. I just watched it. Bought the original France-DVD 9 years ago because of the quality (US DVD sucked hard back then)... One of the great films!
She uses only the most expensive weapons. Steyr AUG. Desert Eagle. He says it's loaded with 6+1. Assuming it's .50 AE, it would hold 7+1 (and that's the lowest capacity for that model in any caliber), so maybe she got gipped a round.
desert eagle is the ultimate mother of all pistol...john woo should change make movies with dual desert eagle instead of dual beretta...not saying dual beretta sucks but it will b better once 4 a change...imagine how is like chow yun fatt action pose with dual desert eagles WOAH hahaha
I've seen this movie dozens of times, but I can't get over how sexy Anne looks from 2:40 to about 3:20. Hope I'm not the only one out there that thinks so ^_^.
This movie was cutting egde for it's time, the story line I found to be original. A must-see in my opinion for anyone serious about non-cookie cutter flicks. The final word "Cult classic"

Sorry. This is almost exactly like the comparative scene in PoNR. And truly: this one totally sucks. It looks like an amateurish first attempt at a storyline. There's no acting, there's no nothing. I was correct when years ago I threw this POS away.
this is just one of the finest movie ever, the directing and the acting are la creme de la creme..... and lets not forget the greate sound track from eric serra, this is amasing stuff...
Eric Serra is great. His music isn't subtle in terms background music but it enhances the mood of the moment. If you would've listened to his music of Goldeneye before seeing the movie, you'd have said "shit this is too electric" but it fits perfectly in the final cut. genius!
@spanishprisoner the lets welcome victor scene with the track is just perfect.. i dont understand y people have a go at him.. probably the reason y is not popular, is because no many people got fine taste nowdays is all about look ... sad really... love eric serra he produces the music exactly suited for the scene...
Brings back memories of watching this in the late 80s in Paris. French version more sentimental than the Hollywood's rubbish translation.
Anne was casted perfectly, strong, muscular, exterior steely nerves yet vunerable & soft-hearted. Could really empathise with her plight & loved how her cold boss slowly set her free.
keyofdavid88 the gun is an I.M.I. Desert Eagle! The Hollywood's most loved gun! C'mon it 's more famous than many actors.
Beside, with the extra clip of that hand cannon she could wipe away the brick wall and escape as his boss told. And then return to the headquartes saying there was any problem... XD
You're right this was one of the best films EVER MADE. The music is what put this whole scene together and got it going. This directer is fantastic at making movies.
That being said, anyone know what gun that is? I've wondered for years but never really ever asked anyone.
Anne Parillaud was dead ringer for Audrey Hepburn in one scene of this film (later in the movie another restuarant scene where she comes in wearing a white wide brim hat with holes in it) spoooky...

@TheMerrow3 in the movie she kills for the secret services and is officially declared dead, so I think fingerprints are not a problem!

Disagree completely. Eric Serra is a pretentious untalented ass. They used him for one Bond movie as you know; he was never invited back again.
