@nco62292 I believe that you don't have to have the actual song recorded. However you can copyright your lyrics. Just make sure your song doesn't sound like Joe Satriani

a bridge is a part of the song (lyrical or otherwise) normally between a verse and the chorus that only plays once.

I'm about 90% sure on that.

I beg to differ...you can have as many lines in a verse as much as you want, it all doesnt have to be the same. The best songs are the ones that arent the same through the whole song. An example would be you have 4 lines in a verse then you have like 6 lines in the next. This is just being creative and not being like everybody else. Thats what makes you unique.
