i was in high school in SW Chicago when House was at it's peak in the early/mid 90's . i had so many of these it wasn't even funny . good memories , better times.
I contribute my career in music to these guys from the original Hotmix 5 and the Wbmx Crew. I've been very close friends with most of these great talents, and if it weren't for DJ International, Hot Jams, Jumpin Music and Gramaphone, I would have never been exposed to these tracks and talent. The music scene is quite a different breed of producers , but I try to keep the old school concepts....so shout out to all you, keeping this alive and to those that gave birth to house music!
Maaan...I listened to this every weekend before going to partys and frying . We used to tape this on a boomBox, God this takes me back to a flashback..LOL GREEKTOWN BAYBEE!

The old cassette spining as this plays just adds to the memories! it funny to see the words "High speed Dubbing" think about it, we thought copying a 90min tape in 45min was quick, today if a cd takes 6min to rip we think it's absurd! I miss the old simple times! but really though 6min is absurd!! I got things to do you know!!
Yes and No... Andre sold Hot Jams a couple of years after he moved it a few blocks from Archer and Pulaski to about 48th and Pulaski. I'm not sure what they're doing with it now but I don't think it's about selling music anymore.
.
.
By The way, I used to go to his house to buy records before he opened the shop. I used to buy a TON of Test Presses from Andre. We're talking 1988 here!
Greetings from Santiago de Chile! Julian roolz all that is holy. I turn all my S. American bitches onto Chicago house from the early 90´s, the best era ever!!!!
trashman-cosmotrash,Fargetta-the music is movin', I forgot that one :), unfukingbelievable, do what you want to do. Very tight stuff. I'll look for these in my collection. Thanks
I have his Hot Mix 5 and that's what this sounds like. This mix also reminds me very much of Bad Boy Bill's Hot Mix 14. Still bump them both till this day. Classic stuff.
