I hope that they decide to do combination of all the most keen elements of Heavenly sword, Enslaved, and Devil May Cry. The acrobatic and free-lancing pakour style of Enslaved, the bad-ass, finger pressing gameplay of Devil May Cry, and the amazing story-telling of Heavenly sword.
P.S. I've seen Heavenly sword and Enslaved, they're really not that bad.

So hopefully it will do better than them but as for the other two it isn't supposed to match the standard but go beyond it. Or below it. You nor I can tell the future. @SkrimSkyDuran I wouldn't have said DMC4 was bad, sure it sucked that you had to go from point A to B and then back to A as Dante but the gameplay and combat was still as strong as ever and at the end of the day isn't that really the main thing for DMC? Plus it was the best selling title of the series selling over 2 million copies so I really don't know what Capcom was thinking when they decided to reboot because no one asked for it beside they just want more money for less work

And I could careless about the whole fact of them wanting money because most gaming companies only want money for less work or more work it dosen't matter. The new DMC is not even out yet. @SkrimSkyDuran on the subject of change we could look at Metal Gear Rising, different style of game, different developer making the game but main character Raiden still recongisable from his cyborg form in MGS4 and still faithful to the source material

@Devilmanfan666 Personally, I don't care much that they changed the character because with NT or not Capcom already made the decsion to change Dante period. If they got someone else to work with they would have changed his looks as well. And people still would complain regardless even if it was by a good company like Platinum. The fact of the matter is Capcom encouraged this major change they wanted it. But it is your opinion and I am not about to refute your right to that.

Also if this a demo at some point in the near future I'd give it ago and as I said it looks not too bad but they just need to tweak a few things here by promoting more ground combat, reduce rolling distance and giving the player a little more freedom to begin a combo without constantly having to use the devil bringer whip all the time, they sort those things out and things will improve
@SkrimSkyDuran but my biggest fear about the succes of DmC is it will become new and current DMC and DMC5 will not get made, this is the main why I am warey of it or if DmC fails that might be it for DMC too because god knows whats going on at Capcom HQ these days what with the whole Mega Man saga and that and then blaming the fans for the cancelation of Mega Man Legends 3, its all very strange indeed lol

@SkrimSkyDuran yea dude definitely, if it were a perfect world both DMC and DmC would be able to co-exsist side by side and I believe the best way of doing this - outside of scrapping the name DMC from it totally (it doesn't matter if its a capital M or lower case m) and putting it out as a brand new IP - would have been not to have announced it as reboot but take the Metal Gear Rising route and label it as a spin off.

They aren't the best at making a story but action wise are good, so, they may have wanted to start fresh and with a group that makes pretty ok stories. That's my theory that they just didn't know what to do with DMC 5. So, they just said you know what let's try something new.

I was implying that they want to gear the attention of other fans while trying to somehow keep the original fanbase appeased because I am part of the original fanbase and I am not shunning this new change. but at this point I believe the best way to prove/disprove the naysayers is to get a demo out for public play ASAP either at the next big gaming convo say e3 or TGS as I see Metal Gear Rising will be playable at e3 this year and that should hopefully win some more people over to the new style of gameplay.

@SkrimSkyDuran Cause as you know with going from the MT framework engine to the Unreal engine the framerates taken abit of a hit dropping from 60fps to 30fps so I don't know if there will be any sort of slow down when things start to get a wee bit hectic with enemies on the screen and all other kinds of crazy shit happening but I guess we'll have to wait and see if they've actually thought of it first

I'm a huge fan of the series and i love the old school Dante but one thing i respect studios like capcom and ubisoft for is CHANGE. i don't want to play the same shit over and over again. if i want to play the old devil may cry ill pop it into my ps3 and play it. all the game play ive seen of this game has been pretty interesting. The real-time gameplay demostration l have seen looks like the game has a lot of depth and combo orintation than previous DMC games. Its already shaping up to be allot better than that lazy and redundant game called DMC4.

totally agree, it was ok in the first few games but now its become a constant drag (especially in DMC3), mostly because it ruins the pacing of the gameplay. At least now we can change styles more freely to execute combos better.

Why didn't they just make a new name and new story for DMC? the game would still be what it is even if this guy was named "Rodney McDemonkiller", besides, wasn't the white hair a trait of being one of the children of the demon knight? even Nero has white hair and he seems pretty young, so why does this Dante have black hair an a seemingly different facial build from Dante?

I hope that they decide to do combination of all the most keen elements of Heavenly sword, Enslaved, and Devil May Cry. The acrobatic and free-lancing pakour style of Enslaved, the bad-ass, finger pressing gameplay of Devil May Cry, and the amazing story-telling of Heavenly sword.

right okay, not that DMC needed a reboot but just because you reboot something does not mean to say while you scrap everything from the table you scrap the level of quality as well, if the level of quality from the last one is low you aim to make it better - ie Batman & Robin to Batman Begins and onwards - and not the other way around

So hopefully it will do better than them but as for the other two it isn't supposed to match the standard but go beyond it. Or below it. You nor I can tell the future. If they got someone else to work with they would have changed his looks as well. And people still would complain regardless even if it was by a good company like Platinum. @SkrimSkyDuran yea dude definitely, if it were a perfect world both DMC and DmC would be able to co-exsist side by side and I believe the best way of doing this - outside of scrapping the name DMC from it totally (it doesn't matter if its a capital M or lower case m) and putting it out as a brand new IP - would have been not to have announced it as reboot but take the Metal Gear Rising route and label it as a spin off.

They aren't the best at making a story but action wise are good, so, they may have wanted to start fresh and with a group that makes pretty ok stories. That's my theory that they just didn't know what to do with DMC 5. So, they just said you know what let's try something new.

@SkrimSkyDuran Cause as you know with going from the MT framework engine to the Unreal engine the framerates taken abit of a hit dropping from 60fps to 30fps so I don't know if there will be any sort of slow down when things start to get a wee bit hectic with enemies on the screen and all other kinds of crazy shit happening but I guess we'll have to wait and see if they've actually thought of it first

I'm sorry i don't care what anyone else complains about, that was fuckin awesome. I'm a huge fan of the series and i love the old school Dante but one thing i respect studios like capcom and ubisoft for is CHANGE. i don't want to play the same shit over and over again. if i want to play the old devil may cry ill pop it into my ps3 and play it. all the game play ive seen of this game has been pretty interesting. There's stutters during some action. when he pulls out his guns there's no transitional frames. Shoulder buttons have to be HELD to use different "styles". @foottothenuts have you played the game? no, its still in development and l haven't seen any "instant kill cutscenes" in the gameplay and after all, this trailer is just putting the action in slow mo for atmosphere (you know, like most trailers do). The real-time gameplay demostration l have seen looks like the game has a lot of depth and combo orintation than previous DMC games. Its already shaping up to be allot better than that lazy and redundant game called DMC4.

totally agree, it was ok in the first few games but now its become a constant drag (especially in DMC3), mostly because it ruins the pacing of the gameplay. At least now we can change styles more freely to execute combos better.

Este Dante no tiene relacion con ninguno de los personajes de otros juegos y probablemente nisiquiera es hijo de Sparda porque el es mitad angel y mitad demonio.El juego va estar chido no se porque tanto alboroto. Me encantaria un dmc clasico pero por una parte me alegro que salga algo nuevo de vez en cuando.Viendo el lado positivo,se viene la coleccion de dmc en alta definicion.

As much as I like to agree with the fact that they changed Dantes new look. But to me I don't really care concerning about his new appearance, what really matters is the gameplay and the followup on how he got to looking like that. Real gamers have the right to curse on this abomination of this so called,"Devil May Cry.' Also its a reboot people, this is before dmc3 and give this game a chance, there were other developers that took over games like crash, spyro, and others from last developers.

Why didn't they just make a new name and new story for DMC? the game would still be what it is even if this guy was named "Rodney McDemonkiller", besides, wasn't the white hair a trait of being one of the children of the demon knight? even Nero has white hair and he seems pretty young, so why does this Dante have black hair an a seemingly different facial build from Dante?
Really, they made a new game with a practically new character and they kept the Dante name for fan recognition, that's it.
