Fun fact : Judas couldnt have killed himself because he was cut open from his stomach to his throat. The ones who paid him off made it look like suicide because they didnt want the chance of him talking and implicating the high ups causing a public priestly scandal....you know, like the ones we see on tv all the time. I must agree with what is being said about Judas.......If it were not for Judas's role, Jesus would not have fulfilled his Destiny.....Was this not preordained?

Agree and disagree: Judas was a necessary part of the will of God having been chosen by Jesus Himself to accomplish the betrayal. Jesus said, "Haven't I chosen you and yet one of you is the devil?" Jesus was not surprised by Judas and his acts. From that perspective, Judas was chosen to fulfill a destiny. On the other hand - and my point of disagreement with your statement - God was not limited to His salvation plan by Judas. Jesus' plan was not dependent upon Judas. It was the other way round.

Jesus forgives everyone who ask forgiveness. It was the difference between Judas and Peter, Peter knew he betrayed Jesus, but He ask forgiveness, and Jesus and Maria did. But Judas didn't ask this forgiveness he felt he was such bad person who doesn't deserve it.

He didn't know Jesus also loved him.

You did. I think maybe Judas was forgiven, who can say? The other difference btw Peter & Judas is that Peter denied Christ, he didn't betray him as Judas did. Judas' actions led directly to the murder of Jesus.

Well when Jesus specifically says to Judas, "It will be better for him if he had never been born." ... If I was Judas, I would think Jesus hated me to. I don't know about you, but if someone came up to me and told me that they were going to make me wish I'd never been born.. yea, I would think they person hated me, or at least didn't love me.

I don't understand why Jesus said that. So what if he knew about the betrayal and suicide? Why alienate Judas? Why not forgive? :P

Good point on the sub titles: the script of this movie is outstanding, especially when you hear - or read - Jesus teaching. I'll let the movie tell the best story. However, in this video I am trying to combine visual and sound in a cinematic style.

Go to the 4:12 mark in the video and from the bright light of the sun and the sweeping camera work of Jesus on the Sermon on the Mount, you also hear Edge's sound scape of the guitar solo. Another clear point of image and music is the juxaposition of Judas' regret of taking the money as Bono sings "waves of regret" and Jesus hanging head in the Garden with "waves of joy". The waves of joy is rooted in the biblical passage where Jesus, for the joy set before Him, endured the cross (Heb. 12:2).

In both the music of the song and the lyrics, I wanted to create a clearer picture of the tension of the song and the relationship of Jesus and Judas. Finally, the video begins with the end of Judas and ends with the end of the serpent, which as you might know, is at the beginning of the movie.

@neovista11 You have done it all very appropriately. How many of us have not betrayed Jesus? More people should realise that when Jesus crushed the head of the serpent it symbolised that all sin is due to Satan and Jesus, as prophesied, thoroughly defeated him. We have to ask seek and knock and understand fully what Jesus has done and still does. God bless.
