Works fine but effectively takes as long as the movie/video to convert - i.e. if your MKV files is 2 hours long it'll take about that length of time to convert it.

Look, do you want to know the easiest way to convert MKV files into whatever file type you want?

It is so simple, just open the MKV in windows live movie maker, then save it as a wmv file, from there you can use any basic converter to make it whatever file format you want.

I know, I felt stupid after spending an entire day on the internet trying to figure this out when it was this simple.
