Very pretty look, but glitters aren't really eye safe, are they?

Most brands that sell glitters have warnings on the packaging about wearing them around the eyes, this is to cover themselves just incase. There is a danger when putting ANYTHING near your eyes. If a make-up company is selling glitter and the staff working in the store are allowed to wear it on their eyes then that sends out a very strong message about it being fine to wear. You will find alot of bright colours that contain red pigments also carry the same warning, As I said it is just incase.

I thought it was because if glitter gets into your eye it can scratch it and seeing how glitter gets everywhere when worked with, I've personaly always avoided using them on my eyes.

A few years ago it was much more of an issue as the particles of glitter were much bigger.

Saying that, I have worn glitter on my eyes for years and havent yet scratched my cornea. The main reason I dont use it very much is because it doesnt photograph very well.

Try Sephora eye Primer.. Its amazing for glitter!! it convert the glitter into a eyeshadow and doesn't move..

I use it also for pigments.
