I wear cargo shorts with a tank and open shirt, sandals - with, on occasion, a fisherman's hat (fishing hat) that matches the tank... AND I get complemented all the time on the look. In Houston it's hot and extremely humid, so that style is prevalent here. Shorts that are slim and just graze the knee sounds kind of schoolboyish.
