  • I think they call this the 'soft sell'!

  • ... which means that some will be saved only after the grave...

  • If everyone is already saved, then how comes not everyone believes and not everyone is born again? That the world is still filled with atheists, pagans and heathens who worship false gods and idols? Jesus made it pretty clear that people are saved by faith through grace and Paul says that everyone will be saved, but EACH IN HIS OWN TURN. The first fruit elect first, then the rest of mankind. There are still one or two ages to come. The Bible talks about at last five ages...

  • All lies.

  • Romans 3:3 - "For what if some did not believe, shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect? ---Romans 11:32 For God hath concluded them all in unbelief, that he might have mercy on all." Glory be to the Father and for thee greatest story ever told. An earthquake is coming. A spiritual earthquake such has man has never seen since he was on the earth.

  • @LambAndTheDragon The problem is that Romans 11:32 contradicts many other verses in which Jesus says that one must believe to be saved, or to be more specific, a person who is saved believes. A person who is saved doesn't remain an atheists or a pagan who worships false gods. One who worships Krishna, Bhudda or Zeus is not saved yet. Jesus clearly said that He is the only way to the Father and heaven. Not religion or false gods. All will be saved, EACH IN HIS OWN TURN (Paul)...

  • LOL! WOW! He turned around!! YES!!

  • Im puzzled do understand your theology correctly? Does God "save" me even if I do not wish to accept his "sacrifice"? If so all this stuff about "free will" or sovereignty of the soul, is just so much hooey! I am NOT free but a captive, a slave soul! IMHO it's cruel if Jesus saves me from "sin" even if want nothing to do with him (or it)... what an insult to my personhood!!! God If you truly love me, maybe I want you to leave me (the Hell) alone!

  • @FiddlePig Jesus' works on the cross saves, not "free" will. God's sovereignty is far superior to people's "free" will. He gives humans a mesure of "free" will, but He would never give them enough "free" will so that they could doom themselves to eternal damnation or self-damnation. If He did so, He wouldn't be Love and being brought into existence and being born into this world would be a curse. We were born with a sin nature through no fault of our own. No one deserve to be damned for that...

  • @FiddlePig "Does God "save" me even if I do not wish to accept his "sacrifice"?"

Yes, and you don't have your say in the matter. God will save us all from ourselves, from sin, evil, and death, whether we want it or not. He loves us that much. But when He gives you His faith and fill you with His infinite love, you will truly enjoy your relationship with Him. Irresistible grace cannot be rejected and then, you have eternal security (once saved always saved). He only wants the best for you.

  • @FiddlePig Fiddle Pig, I'm gonna make this very easy for you. If you had a child and his life was in danger, would you wait for him to be willing to be saved before you rushed in and saved his life? Would you let him doom himself to the worse kind of fate just because he's not willing to be saved? Would you be that kind of parent? God is ten thousand times more loving and more merciful than any human mother or father. God is love and love never fails. That's how He is...

  • Always awesome seeing this stuff. Need so much more of it so maybe we can all think for ourselves.

  • What I want to know is, what did Jesus save us from, if there is no danger of Hell?

  • If Paul is right, Jesus saved us from the Old Covenant Age, "AKA Present Evil Age": "Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, who gave himself for our sins to rescue us from the present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen." (Gal. 1:3-5 NIV)

  • @theNewCovenantGroup

Exactly... He died to kill Adam / flesh... in the Old Covenant God dealth with the Jews based on human effort, whereas in this new Age (post AD70) God is dealing with all mankind based on Jesus' efforts, not ours!
