  • when I see the comment about "...with planetary lunar magnetic fields which are dictated by the energy of celestial mechanics." , I can only see 1 word=lunatics.

    LUNAr+magneTIC, You guys see that?

  • @asfan89 that comment just made my day!

  • @jordanmarcus Mainstream science actually helps our species develop and learn new things. What has pseudo-sciences and religions helped us with? Absolutely nothing.

  • @jordanmarcus

    You are absolutely right.

    You are unambiguously correct.

    You are incontrovertibly accurate.

    .

    ... You are an idiot.

    .

  • @tellnet hey everybody look, we have a student of bill o'reilly in the house. hi tellnet, your insult doesnt serve as an argument for your belief. You have contributed nothing to the thread sooooo thanks... for nothing

  • @jordanmarcus

Glad to see you understood that my comment was a re-iteration of your own assertion.

Meaning, of course, that I insulted nobody - you insulted yourself !

And I agree wholeheartedly with you - you are an idiot.

Permit me to add a compliment - you are a magnificent idiot.

And, dare I ask - what "belief" did I express that you refer to ?

    Hmmmm... now there's a conundrum.

  • Awesome video.

  • Do you think that because we live in the 21st century, with all that vast tecnological and scientific development, the world would be free of superstitious beliefs and pseudoscience? If you think that hoaxes like this belong back to the Dark Ages you are wrong. There will always be frauds, and there will always be idiots to believe them and fill the role of the victim. Astrology is pseudoscience, lies, bullshit.

  • I always enjoy the fact that a mother holding her baby exerts more graviational force on her baby than any planet.

It is just silly! Write to your local paper today and demand they stop printing this bunk!

  • @DuctapePenguin That's fascinating. Can you please provide a link or give details for your claims? It'd be interesting to know where you are getting your evidence from, and who conducted the research that proves that: "...earthly animals are in synch with planetary lunar magnetic fields which are dictated by the energy of celestial mechanics." If you're correct, this is groundbreaking science; I cannot believe I missed it!

  • @MilitantScience.....I suggest the book "The Case FOR Astrology" by astrological archeologist John Anthony West. It's 544 pages that goes into lengthy detail that scientific objections to astrology have been refuted or answered not by astrologers, but by analogous work of scientists, cycles analysts, and other kinds of research. These refutations and answers, it should be noted, go unacknowledged behind the scientistic anti-astrological sentiments that still prevail.

  • @DuctapePenguin

    Go back to sleep

  • @DuctapePenguin Stop spouting off your ridiculous claims. Your comment is just laughable, almost embarrassing to read even.

  • @DuctapePenguin You understand 0 of what your saying. Go find a hole for you to bury yourself alive. Tyvm

  • @MrJohnnyrace nonsense. typical self-effacing nonesense whenever an interest is involved. You showcased your own duplicities for everyone. Just another fragmented consciousness who can't see anything they don't want to yet wants to be an authority.

  • @MrJohnnyrace Your substitute to reality is reality? Two distinctive realities eh? I believe you.

  • @MrJohnnyrace You clearly have a much better substitute.

  • We could ask ourselves why we have this need to feel part of something bigger than ourselves - that somehow there are "forces" which control and/or influence our lives....

Is it because we are too afraid of taking responsibility for ourselves?

Is it a desperate need to try to understand the incomprehendable universe through some kind "mystical" kinship?

Is it a desperate need to find some kind of identity?

Is it a need to find some kind of order in the chaos the universe seems to be?

  • This video was about 90% on Horroscopes and not much Astrology... Astrology is about describing the person's character.. There is also indian Horroscopes, chinese Horroscopes and Numerology Horroscopes... LOL

Astrology by it's self is weak... No wonder some people think it's B.S... it's just a small fraction of a person's combination!

  • Amazing just how many people are fooled into believing in Astrology.

Google search for the "Forer effect" or the "Barnum effect"

  • Oh c'mon Mr. Dawkin I believe in astrology, it's not as wrong as he says. And please, stop treating science like a religion.

  • but astrology still works

  • newspaper astrology is bullshit !

  • ole Dawkins needs to loosen up a little. Should have tried to bang the Sagittarius chick. That'll do it!

  • "forget about the Astrologer's charts with their constellations and planets moving in and out of this house or that house. Go into a real observatory and look at the milky way. Or go out into the country on a moonless night, just lie on your back and gaze up and be so abstracted that you totally lose touch with reality and miss the whole point like me."

  • "This is a map of the cosmos with london at the center".

Richard look of horror, look like he is in pain.

  • It's always hilarious when he gives that look. The best example of it is the scene where he's in the middle of a group that's chanting nonsense and he looks like he wants to hurt everyone there. It might have been Root of All Evil.

It seems humans have this silly notion that any way of thinking that is ancient is somehow slightly magical. Christians in the middle ages used to still believe in Greek gods, for example, and here we are a thousand years later still believing in Christian gods.

  • Is it too risky to say that "spirituality" in general is total bullshit?

  • not risky at all my friend.we must conclude its just a load of old bollocks

  • Nope, I think that's a fairly sound statement :) The term spirituality is now such an umbrella term that people use to cover such a broad range of beliefs and feelings that the word has lost all meaning
