But the most important thing is the recording itself. You should get a tone that sounds good through your amp and mic placement, thats the essential thing of a guitar recording.

But all the LOG songs are hard to learn in some way, it is just practicing. I dont have any problems with their songs, but i play them because they are "broootal badass songs", and i love that.

@Shitto The EQ could be some nice gadget, but i dont think that youll need the distortion pedal, cause the peavey has enough distortion, trust me. A tubescreamer would just boost the drive for a better sound. Good luck finding YOUR amp!

@Britton529 Try to use less presence, more resonance, more bass, some mids, and less treble. The pre gain should be as low as possible too, and u should only use the post gain to get more volume, thats how i get a decent clean sound.
Any chance you could post your settings for the 6505+? it sounds great for lamb of god and thats the sound I'm shooting for. I want to see if we're about the same :)

It's good man, you're good, but i don't like it, cause it's wrong. the song is not like this cover,some riff, the verse and a part of the intro are wrong..., there are many tabs that are wrong but i repeat the technique is excellent. listen the song
@RaskVousSalue They are very different. To explain it a bit: the Engl is more for the "dark" metal tone. The Peavey on the other hand is more for a "badass" metal tone. The amp is really great. Not 100% a real 6505, but sounds really good too.
