  • I feel this is a very important and well documented video, that really does the Wingchun community proud. I bet one day people will look back on this and be proud of what Wingchun has become. I enjoyed listening to Ip Ching, he sounds like a humble yet passionate person. Thanks alot :)

  • This is a very interesting interview bout Bruce Lee's master. Wing Chung never thought that was Bruce Lee's master after watching the movie WAS GREAT better than Jet Li's. Thinking this is the martial arts would like to try out for.

  • a very good school in london check wingchunmartialarts.co.uk

  • Amazing interview. Very measured. An interview that is beyond price as it will endure for generations to come. Thus keeping the truth here for everyone to see and treasure the words from a wing chun legend.

    Nice work Sifu Sergio!

  • Fat Shan? I think you mean Fo Shan

  • @Redgit232 Fatshan is the cantonese dialect foshan the Manderin

  • @Redgit232 lol wow ... spell check? i dont know how to spell very well to !

  • @Redgit232 Incidentally they speak Cantonese in Fatsaan. (:

  • great interview thanks for sharing. And of course Chan Wha Sun had 16 students. It is always the eight that matters in chinese Kungfu and culture :D

  • wing tsun just reached our city, in fact it just opened last February so we dont have much equipment to start with but my sifu is doing everything to teach us effectively and we have learned a lot, my sifu's linage is great sifu Yip Man -> sifu wong shun leung -> Sifu Wan Kam Leung.

  • in Wing Chun are they all brothers and sisters. Don't forget it when ur doing Wing Chun!

  • Im glad I ran across this, and learned about Ip Man. Bruce Lee is one of my all time greats. I always thought about how great his teacher must have been. Dude was cold.

  • @peijunior7895 their never was a yim wing chun creating the art

  • that was really great i want to learn now

  • @55shug55 yes i support you learn to suck dick and i will hire you as my bitch

  • wen i watched the Ip man movies they inspired me to learn this style

and now im part of a wing-chun society and i've bin doing wingchun

now for only 3 months but i feel i've progressed somuch already

and at the other styles i've done, i didnt feel like that

i had the feeling i wasnt learning anymore, only growing muscles

and wing-chun opend my eyes :]

  • @blade888855 Keep it going! I've been doing it for almost a year and I'm very satisfied of this wing chun we have in our country. I feel like wanting to learn more and more, Usually I'm bored of every "sport" after month or two. Training for 4.th student degree now.....

  • @blade888855 Excellent! I started when I was 7 and have never stoped, and will never stop. It's my life :)

  • @thelokofromlongbeach You think I am bothered by your outburst? It's pointless and I could not care less.

  • @blade888855 bladde shut the fuck uppp jajajaja lier son of a bitch come to pop and suck my dick i will do to you wing chun moves in your ass

  • @thelokofromlongbeach i don't see what your trying to do here.

are you trying to insult me and wright bad words about me?

wel im crying in the corner of my room already, keep wrighting good comments :)

and by the way, sirieusly... why is a GANGSTER like you looking up a video like this?

im looking forth to you'r answer :)

  • @blade888855 hey chill lil bitchess i'm just trying be friendly sayonara nos fuimos algarete brodel cojalo easy me entiende

  • @blade888855 congrats on starting your Kung Fu journey, my friend. Three months in you are just starting to get comfortable with your training. You have a lot of work ahead, but it is well worth it. Once you really start developing your skills and practicing Chi Sau regularly, you soon know what it must feel like to be a "jedi". The automatic aspect of Wing Chun that comes with lots of training is mind blowing.

  • @1984WakeUp its bin one year of practising wing chun now and i've gone a rank up, im starting to controll the chain punch, tang sao and bong sao. im practising at home almost every day now

  • @1984WakeUp That is very well said, especially the last segment about the automatic aspect of Wingchun. I really appreciate the lengthy responses from Ip Ching and how he provides so much detail to a wide variety of questions.

  • great video Sergio

  • i didnt knew about ip man until now, i saw the movie and i loved it, this people its the people we should hear on the news, we should learn from this people...

  • you know before that movie called IP man nobody or most of people haven't any idea about this great man really i liked him,you can see in their life how are they lived and see how we are? really it's big different and our life it's :(

  • @lonley07boy All because he wasnt known in the US doesnt mean nobody knew him. Everyone in China knew him before the movies, its just that here we dont learn chinese culture. Please use a brain.

  • @OMGWTFShizznat My brain is still working fine but use yours because US it's not all the world only Japanese and Chinese know him,so that made him known for the world, There are 196 countries in the world skip tow countries so it's 194 and that's made him known, Please use a logic

  • @lonley07boy You said "you know before the movie called IP man nobody or most people havnt any idea about this great man". Most people in China knew who he was and if you leanred Wing Chun before the movie which their were PLENTY of places teaching it, they all know Yip Man. So to say no one knew him makes you look stupid, since you probably did not know about him before the movie.

  • @OMGWTFShizznat You must convince me more, but that is my opinion and we are here to debate, and not to fight, You say I am stupid, this is not acceptable, and the movie showed that guy for all, Where they no longer need to do a search for that guy.

With all the love for you personally

  • @lonley07boy You live in the US. That is my evidence. Dont assume anything if you have never been to China or places where they teach Wing Chun/Kung Fu. Everyone in China knew this dude before the movie.

  • @OMGWTFShizznat Cool you have'd answered :), Oh by the way i'm not from US even not from UK even not Canad, anyway your profile is blocked i wanna add you as a friend if yo don't mind :)

  • @peijunior7895 Yes Wing Chun was created by a woman named Wing Chun supposedly. Don't forget that since it's creation there have been many different kinds of Wing Chun.

  • @frozenchillpill but wing chun learned the style from a nun so why does it have her name on it

  • @LilBlitz116 Her husband named it after her (so the story says)

  • Great video. The questions were great.

  • Grandmaster Yip Man and Grandmaster Yip Chun i have a lot of respect for your culture and chinese kung fu

  • wow!

  • what year Sifu Sergio did Bruce learn learn from IP man?

  • @sk8terll21g no, he has 2 sons, ip ching and ip chun (not reali sure bout their names).

  • that was amazing

  • Billy chow was master ip mans real name? Thank's jayangli

  • The only problem I have with this movie (IP MAN) is there is no mention of the fact that IP Man was addicted to opium ( he took on students to pay for his habit) and was prejudice against Bruce Lee because he was bi-racial; or may be I'am too early in the story.

  • actually ip man had to teach bruce lee privately because his students wouldn't teach bruce lee becaues they were racists.

  • @lipsfordre if you think about what you've read or heard, it doesn't totally a make sense. Why would Ip Man accept Bruce if he was racist? I've heard this rumor before also... There are lots of rumors but then normally do not add up to much. Peace my friend.

  • nice vid...

but... leung jan taught others in his Gulao village also known as Gulao Wing Chun, which is different from the Ip Man Wing Chun.

  • This guy is not a fake and listen to the way he talks , he seems to be highly intelligent..

  • Wrong - he had 3 sons, not 2...look it up.

    Ed

  • @edseas2

but actually the youngest son is just an illegitimate child and never learn Wing Chun.

  • Yes he did and Bruce Lee was IP mans BEST student/disciple r.i.p ip man & bruce lee!

  • @sk8terll21g billy chow

  • Very good !

  • didnt bruce lee play a role in wing chun's popularity?

  • @inconformant

Not yet, Ip Man 3 will have this role

  • is that the REAL SCHOOL?!

  • @sengoku17 yes this is the real school.

  • nawang khechog music{tibeta guy} cool

  • Honk Kong Decenber ... haha

  • excellent work :)

  • this was excellent

thank you for your work in researching

    and promoting Ving Tsun

  • "Honk Kong" LOL.

    It's Hong Kong XD

  • Five stars, Fav'ed, three thumbs up and now its time to sub to you my good man... cheers !

  • nice video

  • very nice interview. very comprehensive, very deep. The questions were very sensible and deep.

  • The the sparring between the Ip man and General Sanpo in the movie, was it true?. Another thing is, defeating the 10 japanese blackbelts, was it true also?

  • 1: No.

    2: Ha ha ha! No.

  • very nice. I want to know more about Ip man. he was really good and very humble.

  • Thanks for taking the time to conduct this interview.

It's a shame I'd missed you -- I'd just left HK after the 4th Dec., but I was up the vtaa many time before my departure.

  • WOW! Awesome interview.

  • i don t know this young old man but he says the truth about wing tsun a very frank person, usualy each and everyone wants to convince the ppl that he is the GM of the WT martial art system and no other except him, in the late 80´s we saw wht can happen to such a worldmaster (cheung lost in 4 sec v.Boztepe) and general leung jan is far as i know the only one who has never lost a fight ( thats the saying ) therefore he is the true Jo-Si of the system

  • Fantastic bro. Is there more of this interview? Great stuff. Kudos to a great master

  • Very Nice!!

  • good to see my Si Gung Ip Ching still ticking!!!

  • Look ! There is a headless dude in a black suite glancing out from the VTAA window! Freaky!

  • @xotofom LOL

  • Well done, Sergio sifu!

  • Great work. Thanks Sifu Sergio.

  • Your videos inspire me to continue this journey of Wing Chun.

    Greetings From Brasil !

  • Thank you for the heads up on this video. If you had not posted the link in Facebook I would have missed it.

I am going to subscribe to your youtube channel to avoid missing any other interesting videos.

    Greetings from Costa Rica!

  • Good

  • This is a very interesting interview!

One thing I like is that you, master, continues to seek the truth .. and you have a good chance of finding it...

The only real wing chun (tjun) is Ip Man 's Wing chun style...an obscured style...

  • what?

  • Thank you for posting this interview! Great video
