truly curious.. it seems that the supreme creator is Kasya/ Kashyap, yet he's just a simple earthen sage? king of gods Indra is below that of Vishnu? What does that make Krishna? and Garuda is being given "all glories" above all else? Am I missing something here? It's weird, coming from an earthen hierarchical perspective. not that I have any problems with not conforming to hierarchy, but I'm totally confused. even if this were just an idiomatic story, what was it??

@thekaizer666 Many times in Indian Mythology, You come across Sages having equal or more Mental Abilities or Powers than Gods themselves so it's not uncommon. It can be compared to Buddhism where it is believed that a Human can enlighten himself to be a God or Immortal if he tries hard enough through Meditation & Enlightenment.

Nowhere in Hinduism does it say that Gods are more powerful than Sages or vice verse, Sages just show their respect to Gods. Hinduism never talks of Hierarchy.

Look Baldoxxx4000, I presfer to see these "horribly animated" cartoons full of tradition, myhtology, and good values and faith than watching 'nicely drawn CRAP' like the American Cartoon Channel garbage like the drooling, farting, booger-eating Ed,Edd &Eddie, Adventure Time, Regular Show, etc. That is really CRAP. while I have seen SOME Western cartoons that were of value, they are far and away now. Anime is good, but sometimes it too is just plain weird.

This I find a very respectable animation, filled with history and pride for the Hindu people. I may be Christian, but I have a close friend who is Hindu, and he directed me to this video series to help me learn about his faith.

Yes his vehicle is a rat, lord muruga's vehicle is beautiful peacock, lord shiva is nandi who is a beef, among others.

I like the prayer of Lord Garuda when Lord Vishnu travels on hom,, you dont have it in this one.

Hi SuperFineman, sorry to know about your brother. I agree with you. I am not going to give any justification on why such things happen and so on. Even if you might not see The God, try to think about people who have and will help you throughout your life. Something in them prompts them to help you. Isn't that good enough reason to believe in Godliness?

Another part is mythology may not always be explained, so can't be some happening around the world. I guess, those kind of stories become mythologies. But, if you take out the supernatural part out from these stories, there is definite distinction between 2 humans. Some are able to do more than some others. Some people work on developing and attain those levels. We identify them as Saints and Gods.
