Combat is a chess game. It is better to use strategy and tactics to defeat an enemy rather than brute force. Besides, this way of combat is predictable. There's a lot of ego and macho going on here.

I have a student who came to me from Israel who was a Krav/IDF instructor. He wanted to learn Kali. I asked him to show me what you can do with a knife. He said he only knows how to disarm a knife, but doesn't know what to do with it. He admitted that KM only works when your opponent is amateur. If he is highly skilled, you're screwed.

From what I know of Israel Krav Maga, the point is that we humans know very well how to defend our bodies. Like a tiger knows how to kill things naturally. Human beings react to things, when someone grabs our neck, we put our chin down and try to pull away. Everyone does that. Krav just throws people in bad situations and you try to let your natural killer come out. They also teach legit techniqes, but alot of it is just unleashing our natural ability to survive as a humn being.
