  • @AzngirlMIMI1011 its a type of cake, and its really soft normaly its used for the black jungle cake in america, and a lot more in france, or other european countries

  • add vanilla and more flour, it makes it a lot softer. mine turned out flat, but soft and delicious.

  • can u tell me why my genoise turned out so hard.. flat.. and i couldnt even cut it with my knife?

  • what's the difference between a bain marie and putting a mixing bowl into a pot of hot water? That's what I did and the cake came out flat.

  • welll... maybe u let the mixing bowl touch the hot water.. bain marie.. is like not touching the water... maybe the over heating over cooked your batter before you baked it.. =o iono hope it helps. bain marie.. i just do same thing you do.. but i never let it touch the water..
