There are a couple of very fundamental things missing from these techniques. First of all the LBs must work first on their read steps (first step at the snap) these guys are crossing over and the coach is not correcting them. Secondly, I do not see separation technique being taught. Avioding the would-be blocker is ok in youth football, however it does NOT teach the required skils players will need as the game advances.

When a linebacker has a running back alone, out of the backfield and the back is running toward the sideline; an inside out attack route gives the linebacker the advantage because the sideline acts as his 'friend." If they over pursue on the back and he cuts back on the linebacker, there will be no one there to make a tackle in a man-to-man situation. Staying "inside out" in man-to-man is what this clip demonstrates. - Coach T

First they need to work on taking an angle and getting to the ball then they work on tackling cause these kids are scared to run, take angles, and tackle

You should show them tackling techniques first... You can't be a linebacker if you can't hit.

I hope to god that this isn't a high school football team because if it is they are HORRIBLE that coach should be shot on the pass play to the RB the LB should mirror him and break before he gets the ball so he can get a big hit or get a interception

Be a harder coach. Often they do it wrong. Tell them, instead of applauding them with what they're good at.
