@johnwest19992 - It was Roger Abbott who pointed that out to me. During my formative years, I spent many a Friday night, in the front row of the CBC's Cabbagetown Studio, at tapings of the "Air Farce" radio series. Roger always did the pre-show warm-ups, and whenever the ruling party in Ottawa changed, along with the colour of the CBC logo, Roger would point it out to us during the warm-up.

I learned so much about comedy from Roger, just by watching & listening. I miss him terribly.

It's a funny thing how the CBC's logo was blue when the Tories were in power, and then it changed to red when the Liberals were in power...
