i could get behind the announcer's English voice as it reminds me of the old announcers during Tyson's hey day in the boxing ring. As for Ippo's, it just sounds "weaker" or "soulless" than his original Japanese voice. That effort comes from the gut and that bit is lacking for English-dubbed Ippo.

At the very least the ones casting the English voice actors ought to look beyond the regular VA's as they starting to sound all the same.

Except Tara Strong... she's gold no matter what...

Wow this anime sounds like shit in English... oh wait all anime sound like shit in English. The first time I saw Full Metal alchemist it was in English. I couldn't sit through the first episode it was so terrible. Later I watched in Japanese... one of the best Anime EVER. English Dubbing is for illiterate retards who can't read fast enough to keep up with the Subtitles. Maybe some day they'll graduate up from one fish two fish.
