My theater company is strongly considering doing this show we're trying to figure the estimated cost for rights, costumes, sets and music. BTW Amazing!
OK I LOVE this version! The movement of the actors is AMAZING....the harmonies rock.....the main girl is good but the one harmonizing with her at the end stole my attention
it is always magenta who doubles this part to make her part a bit bigger lol ! also it was only a last minute thing to use richards voice in the movie as pat quinn originally filmed it!
Who cares if her voice cracked like twice shes an AMAZING singer Id really like to see you sign this good. Whos the signer? The blue one. Nice range. Good harmonies. Nuff said.
its not that its suppost to be riff raff thats just how it is in the film. in the origanal atage show magenta sang it (at least the one from the movie)
I was absolutely amazed by the vocals during the show. I saw it twice and wish I could have gone more. This song is one of my favorites, especially this rendition. I'm part of a RHPS shadow cast now, partly due to how amazingly the UCF theater performed the show!
i can tell this is based on the 2001 broaway cats but unlike tht ur harmonies DONT soundlike drowining cats, well done :D it was gooood :D HUGEEEEEE cast :D
Thank you for your kind words. The score was actually largely re-written by Kip Taisey, based off several different versions, and also incorporating more of a gospel feeling throughout. All soloists were given the freedom to sing, within reason, as they wanted.
ah right, well its very very good, so are you guys liek a university? coz its really good to see amatures [ if u are like amatures, coz this is an amature production right?] actually doin a good job, most reck the songs especially this one by trying to re-create the film but this was fab :}
I just love this. It's really good, of course i love the movie but this is really a nice spin on the whole show.

Isn't Magenta supposed to sing this?
rmcg678 2 years ago
@rmcg678 No, Trixie can double with a phantom instead.
janusandjachy 1 year ago
@janusandjachy I know the character is Trixie but shouldn't the girl who plays Magenta also be Trixie because if she wasn't it kills the concept

I love how they transposed the key! I can actually sing this version, because it's in perfect range.
Either way. Amazing performance, but I expected nothing less from you guys ^.^

ye but still i think it should be a male singing it i hated the original stage show befor the movie came out

Actually, I went through the script, and it actually says that Magenta can be doubled to sing this. But it can also be swapped with a Phantom.
