Yeah, I agree about the price. I also give the advantage to the Su-35 in close combat. But it lacks the stealth of the F-22 and its avionics are a bit behind. Besides, it's developed from the Su-27, which had its first flight in the 70's. This airframe does not allow for effective supersonic maneuvers. Plus, Russia is now developing a fifth-generation fighter that is supposed to be better then the Su-35 in every way. They're not doing that for no reason, are they?

Stealth is just an technical term to describe LO of the RCS. It has stealthy features, and is stealthier than to the previous Flanker derivatives, but it is not in the same league as 5th Generation Aircraft in terms of stealth as well as other characteristics.

A great fighter, but the AWACS would be the factor that would cause the greatest problem, not even the AWACS can detect a stealth aircraft with weapons bays closed. The AWACS have better radar than the Su-35BM by a long shot.
Well I don't know about AWACS, but there are advanced ground defense radars using either low frequency or VHS bands that would have no trouble detecting, and tracking so called stealth planes, and other "low observability" targets. In Russian territory, such systems are data linked with Surface to Air missile defense sites, and air borne interceptors. Now in neutral air space without support systems like I mentioned, the F-22 would be very hard to detect, and thus more effective.
Low frequencies, VHF radar as you like to refer is somewhat effective against faceting type of stealth. Even then it can only detect against close ranges. Steathy features on an f-22 of B-2 show little return to those type of radars... Kind in mind that the F-22 uses Active radar cancellation systems as wekk making the f-22 even stealthier. It woould be difficult to detect the f-22 until it was very close.

R-77 is on the same level than AIM-120D.
R-27EP is very dangerous because of passive radar attack.
R-27ET is dangerous because of infrared head.
US had splendid long-range AIM-54, but now it is cancelled with Tomcat fighters.
Russians have the same system - R-33, which can intercept targets on 350 km range. To compare the range of AIM-120d is 130 miles.

Yeah, I agree about the price. I also give the advantage to the Su-35 in close combat. But it lacks the stealth of the F-22 and its avionics are a bit behind. Besides, it's developed from the Su-27, which had its first flight in the 70's. This airframe does not allow for effective supersonic maneuvers. Plus, Russia is now developing a fifth-generation fighter that is supposed to be better then the Su-35 in every way. They're not doing that for no reason, are they?

In close combat Su-35BM is stronger.
Besides it is a multirole fighter - it can strike all types of targets - land, sea, buy splendid family of missiles - X-15, X-31, X-41, Oniks, Club, X-29, X-65.
In close combat it is very powerful by R-74 missile.
In long range it can strike F-22 and AWACS by R-37 supermissile.

Stealth is just an technical term to describe LO of the RCS. It has stealthy features, and is stealthier than to the previous Flanker derivatives, but it is not in the same league as 5th Generation Aircraft in terms of stealth as well as other characteristics.

A great fighter, but the AWACS would be the factor that would cause the greatest problem, not even the AWACS can detect a stealth aircraft with weapons bays closed. The AWACS have better radar than the Su-35BM by a long shot.

Well I don't know about AWACS, but there are advanced ground defense radars using either low frequency or VHS bands that would have no trouble detecting, and tracking so called stealth planes, and other "low observability" targets. In Russian territory, such systems are data linked with Surface to Air missile defense sites, and air borne interceptors. Now in neutral air space without support systems like I mentioned, the F-22 would be very hard to detect, and thus more effective.

Low frequencies, VHF radar as you like to refer is somewhat effective against faceting type of stealth. Even then it can only detect against close ranges. Steathy features on an f-22 of B-2 show little return to those type of radars... Kind in mind that the F-22 uses Active radar cancellation systems as wekk making the f-22 even stealthier. It woould be difficult to detect the f-22 until it was very close.

These Jets are capable to match the F-22 in a dogfight and easier to produce than any US military planes. It has been admitted bu NATO that these fighters have the best performance in dogfights in the world. Fighting one on one with one of these in the hands of a skilled pilot is a suicide.

You could say the su-30/32/35/37 all come the the basic su-27 flanker. BUt The f-15C isn't the newest upgrade for the f-15. The f-15SE is the newest variant but that would be over kill for the SU's.

Su-27 and the f-15 are about the same at sub sonic maneuverability Both having around 16-18 degree per second sustained turn rate. However at supersonic speeds the f-15 better at 21dps vs 19dps for the su-27.
F-15 flies higher and faster.. SO whats so special abnout the su-27?
Mig-29 is horrible, the planes has such a poor range, that its status was reduced to interceptor. Even so the f-16/18 outperform by by a large margin.

The final price hasnt even been set yet. However the proposal that MIG sent to IAF was for 126 mig-35 total price of $10.24 billion. Thats about $81 million per mig. LMAO!!!!!!

Silly argument. Mig-35 isn't considered a light aircraft anymore.. It's a medium weight aircraft with the operation costs of double of the F-16. Mig-35 is specially made of so it can face of 5th gen fights... and im sure India isn't getting their planes for a war against USA or Russia or China. Those are the only future candidates that will operate 5th gen fighters.Either way india will get the Mig-35 cause it wants to build a military complex with Russia.

He explained thrust vecotring used at the wrong time put the plane at high risk. ALl to which led to the "dmoniation" of the Su-30mki. :D

To call that maneuvre Cobra, jet must drop its speed up to zero. F-14 did nothing like that and it gained AOA REALLY slow.
Older Mig and Su are able to do cobra without TVC thats why a maneuvre is called Pegachev's cobra you dumbshit.
Draken slightly drop its speed and kept flying on almost the same speed as other Draken.
