  • Hi, You are going on 2 years post stem cell . . . what is your final verdict about what you have seen in your son? We are also 2 years post stem cell and here are my observations. Drake has had major gut improvement - no more rapid transit thru the gi tract. He has gained about 40# in 2 years. No change in seizures per month, but he is recovering faster from them. He also generally sleeps more at night. It is all very subtle things that only a primary care person or a Mom would notice.

  • Your son looks awfully young in this. Two questions. Did he consent or ask for this procedure? Did he tell you he was unhappy with the way he was?

  • any one know the adrese where is in costa rica this place for stem cell please , can you tellme where to fine this place ,

  • I love your slide show, sure wish we had meet face to face.

    love to your family.

P.s. Post stem cell Drake has finally grown and has put on 25#, YAY

  • @tackyonasis Glad about Drake's weight gain and growth! That's terrific. :-)

  • I pray for the future when your son is better. Thank you for a reply.

  • すばらしい家族! お幸せを祈るばかりです。(A splendid family! I pray for happiness.)

  • @aratakke Thank you. Tomorrow is back to school for both of our kids. Johnny is still nonverbal and severely affected by autism. He's got a good teacher, though, and many people who love him. We ARE happy most of the time. Thanks.

  • thank you for sharing these wonderful pictures from your trip. your family is beautiful and wish you all the best. I wanted to try the cell steam therapy with my son who is autistic and non verbal. Please let me know if you saw any improvements and if you consider to go back

  • @RTabaku No, we haven't seen any improvements and have no plans to go back anytime soon. We had a great experience with the doctors and staff. Everyone was wonderful, but with no obvious gains, it's not worth the huge expense to do it again. If we DID, we'd have the cells injected straight into his spinal column fluid, instead of IV injections. The parents who have done this seem to report better gains.

  • The picture at 4:29 ... WOW ... Makes me wan to cry ... What a bueatiful kid ... My heart and prayers go to you and your family!

  • @FightForOurFreedom Thanks! Your well-wishes are much appreciated. We haven't seen much benefit from the stem cells, unfortunately, but are glad we gave it a try. All the best.

  • It's been over seven months now since the therapy and we haven't seen any cognitive improvements. Eating and gut function improved for a few months, but those gains have diminished now. We may try more stem cell therapy in the future, but right now we're giving homeopathy a shot. Wish us luck.

  • Hello, its been 6 months since your son's stem cell treatment.....have you seen any inprovement?

  • We took our 10 year old daughter Lama to Costa Rica in December. We found no changes in the first 3 months. Then we start seeing positive changes.

We might be going back again in July 2009.

  • Thanks for the kind words, everyone. It's been five weeks and we're still waiting for some big changes. Keep your fingers crossed.

  • We took our 2 year 9 months old son to Costa Rica for stem cell treatment in the last month. It has been 4 weeks. We have not seen any significant improvement yet.

  • Well done, salute to you. Our children are beautiful and gifted. Thank you very much for posting video, it is a great inspiration for parents like us. I look forward to seeing your new video.

  • We're going in June for our first treatment, as well. Did you try the intravenous or the intrathecal route? Have you seen any results yet?

  • We're going in March for our first time.

Are you seeing results from the treatment?

  • I hope you see results soon! I have been curious about this for my son. I wonder if it makes a difference in the results if you use a sibling's cord blood versus what they use? I will research more. Cost? # treatments? Our son is nonverbal, as well.

  • Great job with video and songs! Just anxiously

    waiting for improvement.

  • We were there, too, and saw tremendous cognitive gains. We hope you see wonderful things. Cost Rica and ICM were great! You go, Mommy and Daddy warriors :) Love, Julie-from our stem cell group

  • Love it!!! Great Job!!! Very well done!!!

    Love, Gabby :0)

  • great video! glad you posted and you have a beautiful family! can't wait to see results, lisa from chelating group
