  • Now I want to learn some Zulu.

  • One word: Majestic

  • Perfect nighttime song

  • 3:35 I love, love, love that part. "Lion King," you bow to no one.

  • "we sangoma ngi velelwe

    we baba ngivelelwe

    we baba ngivelelwe"

  • This unique voice ♥

  • who can dislike these wonderful songs?

  • This could be Nala's threnody over losing her little brother, Mheetu. Most of you have probably never heard of Mheetu, since he was cut early in the production.

Dont look at my grammar, im norwegian.

  • Oh mta ka mama wam Oh mfo wethu Ndi ya ku khumbula mna La la, La la Oh mta ka mama wam Oh mfo wethu Ndi ya ku khalela mna Motswalle waka Ngwana mme Ndiyani khumbula La la kahle We sangoma ngi velelwe We baba ngivelelwe We baba ngivelelwe Oh mta ka mama wam Oh mfo wethu Ndi ya ku khalela mna Motswalle waka Ngwana mme Ndiyani khumbula La la kahle
  • Oh, Motswalle waka, ndiyana khumbula.

  • I thought lala kahle meant 'sleep well.'

  • @Victim5and5Villain

there's a little difference between 'lala kahle' and 'la la kahle'

  • endless night is inspires by lala (this)

Lala is inspires by that little piece of music that play when simba chases rafiki to ask how he knew his father.

  • This version is by far more beautiful than the movie soundtrack or the Broadway version. I love it. There's such a deep feeling in all of Lion King's music.

  • This music really inspires me to one day go to Africa and see my African culture.

  • I believe this song is about his little brother. the lyrics sound like a mothers lullabye to her dying child

  • Did you know that the Lion King musical would not exist if "Rhythm of the Pride Lands" had not been made the musical grew out of "Rhythm of the Pride Lands"

  • I love it how you recognize the songs from The Lion King Musical on this record. Absolutely love it! They're beautiful no matter in which language they are sung. Zulu gives the songs something special. Gives me chills! :)

  • The actual Zulu is heart breaking, more so than the English I believe

  • If you've seen "The Lion King" musical you would know that this is the song "Endless Night" whis is the song that goes: Where has the starlight gone Dark is the day How can I find my home Home is an empty dream Lost to the night Father I feel so alone You promised you'd be there Whenever I needed you Whenever I call your name your not anywhere That's just the first bit
  • Thats right & Lea Halalela (Holy Land)the song is Shadowland the musical is based on Rythm Of The Pride Lands

  • @59771006 Yes, but that's not what this actually translates into. Julie Taymore, the direction for Broadway, wrote the "Endless Night" lyrics.

  • @59771006 The best movie, and broadway show of all time.

  • I love this Song...<3

wish I could download it! know where I can?

  • Buy the CD instead! :D

  • I wish I coud find it in stores... :'(

  • Oh dear :( Have you not tried Amazon or eBay, I ordered if from Amazon and they never let me down =]

  • eBay.

  • you can buy it from the itunes store

  • @olilak27 I discovered you could buy it on iTunes

  • They play this song a lot before the Bird Show at the L.A. Zoo! I'm glad I can now sing the African version!

  • very good song :)

  • This seems to be the song that they used for the tune of 'Endless Night' in the Lion King Broadway Musical. It's kind of sad... I read a Wikipedia article on Lebo M. it said he had to leave his home when he was very young.. :(

  • ndifunda isiXhosa nesiZulu (I am learning Xhosa and Zulu.).. They are both pretty easy to learn at the same time. They are sort of related languages I guess.

  • They used a lot of the songs on this cd for the musical. I'm glad that they did, because it sounds great!

  • While the melody is from the original TLK score (Under the Stars), the lyrics written by Lebo for this song are tributes to his brother and best friend, who died within a week of each other. :/

If you listen closely, you can hear his voice breaking at spots.

  • aww poor Lebo :(
