Shot the test video to find out how to get the High Quality version in Yahoo. If you use FlipShare's youtube uploader it automatically compresses the video to the low quality Youtube version. In order to get the High Quality you need to upload the old fashion way.

no because some hd videos have great quality. i think the reason for the quality loss is that the hd camcorders suck.

yes and they vary with quality. 720p doesn't automatically mean great quality all it means is the resolution. you can have good resolution and bad quality.

I was wondering if this is just a problem that I'm having and what the problem could be.

When I click on the "watch in hd" option the video is really slow even after letting it load completely it still plays really slow. The normal quality plays fine.

Do you need a monitor that can read Hi-Def?

Is it a slow connection speed? (I have comcast broadband & the status is Connected and signal strength says Excellent)

FlattKatt - This camcorder is perfect for reviews and video blogging. I use it to track my weightloss here on youtube. I suggest buying a tripod - or do what i did, velcro to keep things steady.
