Very nice... People don't realize the history or that this state has it all. It's plains and it's mountains, lakes and rivers. Seasons... good and bad. We are hearty people ... God fearing fun loving. I would like to slow it down a bit though and be able to look at the beautiful pictures longer.
My girlfriend is from Nebraska, york to be accurate..I have visited the state only once w/her,but i can tell you it's Amazing...I hope to get back there someday soon.
Some nice pics. Many thanks. I was born in Kearney and my grandfather's farm is now a sandhills crane sanctuary on the river. I grew up in Harrison...riding motorcycles in Sow Belly Canyon and the Pine Ridge cliffs near Munroe Canyon. It was a great life looking back. My life has been the ocean since then and I live in Bermuda now, but coming back to visit family always reminds me of the good things there. You can keep the cold, harsh and windy winters however!
Very nice video, good job on video.I love America and Americans, I just dont like our Corrupt Government. I want to see America return back to the way our founding fathers invisioned and planned America to be.Our country needs real patriotic leaders to bring back the America and its constitution to its full Glory. Not these, sell out to the higest bidder political leaders we have right now. Please God Bless America
@JTSlover97 I'm a "city girl" from Omaha, but Western Nebraska is beautiful! If you ever go, I highly suggest taking Highway 2 through the sandhills up to the Panhandle--I-80 is SO boring!! Then don't miss Chadron State Park, Fort Robinson, and Toadstool Geologic Park. Also, ask the locals how to get to Sowbelly Canyon. It's a gorgeous scenic drive near Harrison.
I agree, the photos moved too fast to actually get a good look at them. And what about NebraskaLand Days? That is huge in the summertime. But I liked the way it was put together.
Beautiful video! I grew up in Lincoln. Now, I live in California and am looking forward to the time when we can move back to Nebraska. There is no better state in the union!
I really like this video, I'm going to there in about 6 months and look forward to it. The video is a bit to fast tough to read everything (but pause works ok)
Wonderful video... makes me miss home a lot. Nebraskans go all over the globe and represent the state with a great attitude, passion, integrity, and spirit of happiness. Everyone comments about the unbelievable optimism that comes from the state. Hold your head high Nebraska, many of the greatest people on earth are there and will continue to be for all time. Living abroad has made me realize that home is such a wonderful place. There's a strong force pulling me home, can't wait to be back. =)
Nice snap shots of home. Just wish some of the early photographs didn't fly by so fast. Family values and hard work are part of what Nebraska is all about. The state does not allow corporate farming I'm told and lets hope it stays that way so family farms will be able to provide a legacy for their families and the nation too.
It all fits together beautifully , give it a couple of views before you make up your mind. Trying to capture to entire State and its history in only 3:17 is quite a daunting task.
Nice job, Lisa. Sometimes when I can't quite understand why I stick around this state, it's nice to see another person's appreciation for some of the bits and pieces of home that I like too. Misery loves company.
I´m from Brazil (south america). I went to Nebraska for buseness and had there very nice stay. There is a great peace of USA I´ll never forget. I had there wonderful relationships. I can say I had marvelous feelings about the people and the state. I´m very grateful for you all, my american friends of Nebraksa. I love you all!
@ottomack2 That's a wonderful thing to write and tell everybody, Mr. Mack. From this 3rd. generation Nebraskan, I agree with you and thank you kindly. God Bless....Joel Ewing / Tucson, Arizona.
nice video....but a bit too fast paced for my feeble mind...I grew up in the Sandhills but later in life lived four years in Omaha. Wouldn't trade either experience for the world. Omaha is a great town........would live there again if opportunity arose. BTW thanks for the North Platte canteen reference. It affirms you know your Nebraska history.
I'm from Texas and and I find the cornfields in Nebraska are pretty compared to the brown dead plains in Texas. In Texas None of the scenery is green accept The hill country and the eastern part.
Ya gotta Love Nebraska!! One of the only States that people can claim in a good way, other States are known for their Gang Banging and what not. Not Nebraska,(granted it has its share of trouble also, but not as bad as others do). We are known for our football and our damn Corn...and I am proud to be a part of it.
I live about 20 miles east of New York City and have always wondered what was out there in Nebraska. This was a great video. I'd like to see it one day.
I was born and raised here and would never leave. I love it here and so do my kids and grandkids. The midwest is the best place to raise kids. God Bless!!!!
Well done. I am from North Carolina but went to grad school at UNL 30+ years ago. I could go back to Nebraska and be very content. My year there was truly the Good Life!
You need to get out more. While all urban areas have crime, Omaha is no where NEAR the top of the charts. By comparison, Omaha is one of the safest cities of it's size in America. I realize and accept that if you from Lexington or Red Cloud that Omaha seems crime ridden but from an opportunity and development and education point of view, Omaha is the BEST city in Nebraska.
BTW: I live in Houston, and you have NO IDEA what the crime problem is.
its not really the crime rate, its the fact that in order to get a feel for what nebraska is all about you have to go outside the big cities. the small town people in neb. are some of the friendliest around. you have no idea what work is until youve lived on a farm.
I was raised in Florence just north of Omaha on a farm and there were good and bad things about it just like all things. I came to realize that the folks in Snyder thought that Columbus was filled with sin and violence and Columbus thought that of Norfolk, who thought that of Lincoln who thought that of Omaha who thought that of Kansas City who thought that of Chicago ,,,,etc. Do I need to drag up the pedophile sex torture that happened in Rulo?
You are retarded. You are a perfect example of why people from Omaha disassociate themselves from the rest of Nebraska. "Too crowed" What??? compared to what, Wahoo??? lol seriously you need to get.
I agree with Huskerpower42. I dont care what you say and if you are from Houston you would have no clue what Omaha is like. Sleeping on the second floor of a two story house and all you hear are shots ring out in your backyard or better yet, i was at friend's house and there was shots outside then all a sudden you see red and blue flashing all over the place. YOU HAVE NO CLUE! I lived in Omaha for 27 years. Now I live in a small town still in Nebraska where there is only 3 cops PERIOD.
From a former husker, thanks for the memories. I wandered off in 1959 got lost in Arkansas and never got back. It will always be home. Originally from Sious/Dawes county.
Well done. We understand it is not a 2 hour film. Lots of info in a short time. ----Heading over to do some boring fishing. Won't get to dodge bullets, knives, gangs, or other asst. city perks. I'll take a book. Love being bored in Nebraska.
Being a Nebraska girl -- this video is fantastic. It shows the good life, what is pure, honest, the values and why life is important. This brought tears to my eyes -- I love it. GO HUSKERS!!!
My nearest neighbors are about 5 feet away. About 20 feet away behind me. So if you think Nebraska is just a hick state, just come here and see for yourself.
Well for starters Nebraska is home to the best college football team around, Secondly most people in Nebraska have correctly learned how to drive in the always changing weather of the midwest, and for the finale Nebraska has a few more hills! GBR!!
dude u don't even know ... we may not have many peopel but it is just a great state and many people may not htink so and may hate it but that doesn't mean u have to express it in public where nebraskans all are complimenting it and u have a bad one and imagine that .... its someone who doesn't live in nebraska who insults so just keep it to yourself
I don't think that you are aware that if you left click on the the play button in the lower left corner right under the video it will pause. To play simply left click it again to go to the next pic on the video. You can do this as many times as you want to! I enjoyed it very much and think it was awesome! There just is NO PLACE LIKE NEBRASKA!!!!!!!!!!!!
NO REASON TO BE RUDE AND SNIDE you could have slowed it down a little bit so people wouldn't have to keep clicking on the pause button which i do know where it is and how to use it. your just a mean and rude person with no concept of how to accept constructive criticism.
Since I made the video, I'll just say that I find it interesting that something I did for fun and for friends a year ago, that went viral a year later, draws in people that feel the have to criticize. It was made just for fun and for a first time attempt at making one. Personally, I never criticize the videos I view because people are doing them out of fun.
Very nice... People don't realize the history or that this state has it all. It's plains and it's mountains, lakes and rivers. Seasons... good and bad. We are hearty people ... God fearing fun loving. I would like to slow it down a bit though and be able to look at the beautiful pictures longer.

GBR!!
